Default 09 and up Subs

I want to add after market subs to my 09 Ram, do you have to use shallow mount subs under the rear seat or can you fit normal size subs under there....any suggestions.....i would like to either go with one 10" set up, or should i go 2? I want to keep everything stock though, I have the alpine upgraded system and i will probably have the audio shop here in town do the work......Let me know what you guys think.....

check out https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...wcab-subs.html

It depends on the box.. find a sub you want the look for a box that will fit it, find out the dimensions inside the box to see what will fit.

The fox acoustics 12" box (currently not shown on the websites as they are a little behind) will with a JL 12W6 which has a huge magnet. Fox acoustics will show the inside dims for sub fitment

I would also recommend an amp with an external control (most do it) to adjust your bass from the front as the OEM radios don't have a lots of options for EQ/bass.

There is not much room under the backs seats so the subs you can fit in there without a seat lift is pretty limited. I fit two 10" JL W3's under my backseat in a box I got from ebay without a seat lift. I think the depth of that sub is about as deep as you can get without lifting the seat. If you raise the seat your options for subs greatly increase. For me the 2 10" w3's work perfect.

Does the Fox box for one 12 fit without a seat lift? And still preserves the storage under the driver's side back seat?

I just looked at the Fox Acoustics site and I only see a dual 10" enclosure for the 02 and up Rams. So i'm not sure if they even have a single 12" enclosure, but they may and just not have any available right now. From what I've heard the foxbox's are well built and allow for a good amount of airspace so I think that they may all require a seat lift.

It uses a seat lift and does not touch the drivers side. just passenger side. not sure if it has seat lift for both side but if it didn't, I will riase the driver side to match.

They have quite a few boxes. single 10, 12 and dual 10,12. they are behind a little so they took them off the site
