2009 Ram Hemi Superchips Tuning Released
ok, i missed the "when ready" part of the original post about the trans tuning.
so after reading your paste of what scott said. does that mean the coupon code and trans update will be ready tues?
if not, can i just wait until "everything" is ready to download all at once or do i have to get the TM update now, and then get the trans options when avail.?
thanks for the help

So for someone who doesn't have a SC tuner, is now the time to purchase? I have been waiting for the torque management updates to come out, it seems that time is happening now. One more thing, when I buy my tuner does will I have access to all of the tuning capability? or will I be spending more money to get access to more advanced settings? I guess I am trying to find out what the total cost of ownership is going to be. It sounds almost like there is going to be this fee and that fee and by the time I have paid for everything it is going to have cost me a lot more than what the tuner sells for.
Thanks for any clarification you shed on this.

i already notice a huge difference with the superchips new tune, I can only imagine the custom shift tunes...
I have the 3.55, and i'm breaking loose all over the road.
Can't wait, great job Superchips!!

if you have a local store that sells the tuner, you'll have it on hand just in time for the free 72 hr update. you will always receieve updates for free for what you have, but after 72 hrs of the post release of the coupon, you'll have to pay to unlock the user settings for the new TM Mgt. You should find a cortex for around 300-350 and that should be your only cost if you catch the free 72 hr. follow or did i confuse you?
How much are the updates? I blew two months of truck modding money on the 22" SRT rims/tires last month so I am not spending anything on it till June or July.

I have no idea how much the updates will be, but they posted the reason earlier.
Said that the R&D just cost way too much for it to be a freebie and needs some type of return.
Can't really blame them though, this is a new tune/product. It wasn't offered to anyone in the past either, like anything new, you need to pay for it. Least they're offering the free 72 hr to all existing users and thats not just 09 buyers, it previous model years as well that use this tuner. That's a lot of money they're losing...
just a thought from the other side...

The beauty is, you don't have to upgrade. The base product now has full and correctly done TCM support. This program has additional functions to control everything from your entire part throttle shift schedule to your entire TM settings. Basically, custom tuning for your transmission. With other products you can have these changes done through a cmr, but that will usually cost you and much more. The program is not for everyone. There's a learning curve using this program. It's not as easy as just a quick tune or setting your WOT shifts in advance options. Much more associated with this program.
If you don't upgrade to this, you will still have a heck of a product.

i think that should have cleared it up for everyone....
