I sure hope this isn't the case. That's the whole reason I bought the Cortex instead of the flashpaq. I still haven't installed the "user" update. I only did the first one from the day before.

Sil, would you care to comment on this?

Since the program is relatively new, not sure about this question. You may want to PM Scott@Superchips to verify, since he's an employee of Superchips.

Thanks,

Sil

Just downloaded the new trans options and can tell the shifts feel more crisp with just a trip around the block. The only weird thing was that my tire pressure guage was flashing for a min then went off. Other than that everything went smooth. Couldn't have done it without the awesome help from superchips and friends.

BOOOO... I tried to update my 3865 to add this for free but it looks like im SOL. I don't have a newer truck, but when I plan to get one in the future it would have been nice to have the package now for free.

Well,, after many tries I cannot upgrade my Cortex still.. All I have is a blank page under "Vehicle 1" on the upgrades. I have put in 2 trouble tickets to Superchips, one last night, one tonight. No responses. Anyone else still having this issue? I have tried XP, Vista, and reloaded the software, same results......

Whats up with the warranty void buzz on the cortex? Im not unhappy with it but havent downloaded the new data. I hope thats not true cause thats the whole reason we paid more for the cortex! warranty! anyone? I only have a few hours left for the free upgrade but im not gonna do it if it voids the warranty.

I just did mine yesterday but if it voided the warranty I wish I hadn't thats the whole point of buying the Cortex model.

I understand how it voids the warranty..... How can SC be held responsible for someone pushing limits on the shift schedule and trashing their tranny because they pushed to far?

With that said.... I think the upgrade should be FREE to Cortex users given they already paid more for a "warranty" they will no longer be able to use. By having to pay for the Cortex and the upgrade, well that is like double dipping on SC's part. Pay once, let the Cortex owner decide, warranty or Shift Schedule.
