I have a flashpaq tuner part #3815 that was originally for a 2004-2005 5.7 Hemi. Can this be upgraded to work with the 2009?

I don't think this programmer can be upgraded but it can be sent in to SC and a $150 credit toward a new programmer.

The 3815 memory chip is at it's limit and prohibits us from adding additional model years to that model. That is why we came out with the 3856 Flashpaq.

As stated above we are offering an trade up program where you received money value for your 3815 towards the purchase of a 3865. If interested give customer service a call at 888-227-2447 for more details.

Quick question, when I go to my TM setting, I have 2 things I can set to "user" or "superchips". The second is WOT, I remember that for sure... Can't remember the name of the first, maybe throttle torque m, sorry it's late and I'm going off of what I saw this afternoon. Anyway, do I set both setting to "user" and the change ALL the setting under BOTH to 8%? Or, do I just set the WOT setting to "user" and change those to 8% (leaving the first option, whatever the hell it was, as "superchips")??? Thanks for your help.

Just inputting into the think-tank, i ordered a Superchips Cortex for my 2010 5.7, and will be installing later this week. I will return with results, before/after. Meantime, i'll be watching this thread.

*Update*
The other option I was talking about is called "Part Throttle Shifts" under TM Settings. Do I need to change it to "user" setting as well and change everything under it to 8%???

*Update*
I set every option under Torque Management to 8%, seems to be working great!

Now that I got the Torque Management figured out, I have a couple of more questions to see if anyone can help me answer.

- I set the tuner to disable MDS, and it appears to have, as I can no longer feel or hear it kick in (I have a Borla exhaust). However, a few times last night when I was driving, I noticed the MDS fuel saver message came on. It would come on when I would normally expect it to come on; i.e. when I let off the gas coming to a stop sign or something. But like I said even though the light came on, I didn't feel as those it actually kicked in. Is this normal? Like I said, it came on a lot less than it normally otherwise would have, and it really didn't even "turn on," just the message.

- When I view the stock temps for the fan speeds under advance options, it says that the stock temps for low & medium are like 119 (or something along those lines). However, when I set the temps to custom levels, the lowest I can go is like 186. I'm assuming the 119 temp is a missnomer? What temps do you have your fans set at?

- After I set all my torque management settings to 8% yesterday, I wanted to view the stock setting, as I couldn't remember what they had been. So I tried to reset one of the torque settings to reset/stock, and checked it again, and it still was at 8%. So then I went and changed "user" to "stock" and then back to "user" and they still said 8%. I should note that this was all done after I had programed my truck to 8%. So do I need to select "stock", re-program it, then go back and then select "user" to see the original settings?

Thanks for all the help so far.

Before I even bought the tuner I had dealer reflash for MDS driveability improvements and noticed immediately that the fuel saver light was no longer directly tied to MDS engagement but now to gas pedal pressure. After tuning the truck and disabling MDS, the fuel saver light still comes on and is still tied to load on the throttle/engine. I have a Dec 08 build date and will see if there is another pcm update before the 36k warranty is up and it is still free. Nice to have friends as service manager and techs at dealer.

This is the first time in my forum career that I have ever sat down and read all 75 pages of any posting. After spending my entire evening reading and trying to understand I feel like I'm beginning to know many of you who posted.

Sil you're the man, I don't think as much would have happened if you were not so involved. Thanks again from someone who did not even make on posting till now. I reason for that is I did not have my truck or a tuner at the time these posting were happening.

Thank everyone involved Ive learned alot and enjoyed everything.

Got my tuner and tomorrow with what I've learned I'm going to tackle TM and Shift schedule.

Ya'll need to keep me up dated, what's going on.

Thanks again,
Jack
