2009 Ram Hemi Superchips Tuning Released
Hi all! New to this site and all I can say is WOW!!! Been reading through all of this and I want to say THANKS to all that took the time to beat through all of this!!!
I bought my SC 3865 a few months ago and have really loved it. I have been only running the canned tunes since I did not really understand how to change the advanced settings... until now!! I do have 2 questions though...
1. Do I need to return to stock before I getting the yearly emissions inspection?
2. Do I need to purchase something extra to change the Torque Management setting?
Thanks in advance for the insight. So happy to find more folks that are as excited about their RAMs as I am!

Yes, the Flashpaq has a mileage setting but i have actually found my max MPG gains from the 93 performance setting. i was averaging 16.5 with an even mix of highway and around town. now i average to 18.5. and yes, you can calibrate your speedo for tire size.
I've found that the fuel saver program does little for the 5.7, if not make it worse. I will try running the 91 octane program to see if the cleaner fuel burn will add MPGs.. i will then have to figure out if the gain in MPGs offsets the price of 91 octane. Even if its close I will stick with the 91. Why have a sluggish fuel saver program getting just very slight MPG improvement (+/-1 mpg) when I can have the power of the 91 octane program.
They did an update about a month ago. My 2009 was one of the first to get a new stock tune when I visited the dealership recently. The programmer wouldn't work with the new stock tune, so I had to upload it and send them a trouble ticket. It took less than 2 weeks and they came back with a new flash for the programmer which worked.
Here's my thread on it when it happened:

Hey gang need your take on this.
I was sung the 93 tune, and the weather got really cold one day. The transmission seemed like it was slipping almost. Not sure why, but I would hit the gas, and I'd hear the engine revving up,,,scared the crap out of me..also, I would experience 2nd -3rd gear shift "sloppy" very very bad, while every other shift would be clean and quick....
I had to downgrade to the 91 tune which sucks, because immediately I noted a 2mpg drop...literally right after the tune..I'm using advanced trans tune @6% TM, but don't think that has any bearing in this issue....I think.
Any feedback. Or help is greatly appreciated....
As always, thanks.
