Default Trans management

So after reading all 75 pages of this thread, i broke down and bough a 3865. I just added on the trans management download but was looking for some guidance on it. I saw the 3 starter files on the mcfail site but was wondering what the difference was between them? Is one more aggressive than the other?

Sil you're the man, I don't think as much would have happened if you were not so involved. Thanks again from someone who did not even make on posting till now. I reason for that is I did not have my truck or a tuner at the time these posting were happening.

Thank everyone involved Ive learned alot and enjoyed everything.

Got my tuner and tomorrow with what I've learned I'm going to tackle TM and Shift schedule.

Ya'll need to keep me up dated, what's going on.

Thanks again,
Jack
Jack,

I really appreciate the kind words.

The trans options was a labor of love. It's a fantastic program and a great addition to the current tuning. I'm always in the background collaborating with Scott. I give him suggestions, feedback, etc., that I read on the forums. I'm not only a proud owner of an awesome Dodge Ram, I'm also strong advocate for more Superchips options for the Dodge Ram community. I'm hoping for a few more things this year for the Dodge Ram community. There are some exciting things being discussed and if R&D is right, we just may see them happen.

Thanks again. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to message me.

All the best,

Sil

Awesome. Thanks man. I'm gonna start out with that one and tweak from there. I originally use the 09 Starter 1 schedule and it was way to aggressive, shifting 1-2 at 3k+ even at slight throttle.

Default Thanks a lot for posting the shift schedule CarGuyOhio

Thanks for your posting your schedule, it seemed you developed a schedule that meet my daily driver needs and gave me the confidence to get into the custom programing on my truck. I used your schedule really enjoying all your effort. May get brave and do a little custom details on my own later.
Thanks
Jack

Newbie here. My pops is picking up my 09 TRX4 as for i am still in Iraq for a few more weeks. I am already looking to start spending money on it tho! I had a SC for my 02 5.9 1500 but was very unhappy with it. didn't notice a thing on any of the tunes. not sure if i did something wrong or what. it is just making me a little hesitant on ordering another altho everything i've read on here it sounds amazing. has anyone had an issue like that on any of theirs?

Also any suggestions on aftermarket stuffs? thinking a Volant CAI, Flowmaster, 4" rough country lift with 35s. anyone have any idea what MPG with 35s is gonna be at? also anyone use a lockpick for there mygig? sorry for goin off topic. thanks all!

I think you have to buy that option then download it to the 3865 first. Unless things have changed and it's already on there.

I've heard of people running 8% Torque management and others running 6%. Is anyone running no TM at all?

Here are the steps to download the Advanced trans options:

Program the vehicle - Log on to Internet Update with the vinlocked programmer - Select Vehicle 1 from the drop down menu at the top of the page - Select Advanced Trans Tuning - Pay the $39.99 fee for the Trans option - Download starts from there.

Any questions feel free to let me know.

Scott
