If they "were" compatible with the SC Tuner, yes, you would have to reset the previously tuned vehicle. Most hand held units only allow the operator to marry to one vehicle at a time.

I "believe" the newer version of the Diablo Trinity allows for multiple tunes on multiple vehicles, but only a limited number of tunes/vehicles.

I would tow with SC 91 tow tune and you should always use tow/haul especially towing 5k and over or when under 50 mph. You don't want your trans to go into overdrive while towing medium/heavy loads. I would think that 3500 lbs would be safe to use overdrive but nothing more.

Default Worth it?

so this may be a dumb question but i'm trying to decide if getting a cortex for my 09 1500 is worth it. i had a superchip for my 02 1500 and couldn't tell a difference in any of the settings. i tried them all over a couple weeks each. made sure it was up to date and all. from what i've heard they are supposed to be pretty obvious with the power increase and fuel mileage if driven properly. so i guess i'm just wondering if anyone else has had an issue like i did with my last one? thanks

My .02, FlashPak is all you need. Same tune files. Don't see the point of buying the Cortex unless you're the type that purchases warranties with everything. As far as being able to tell the difference, I run the 93 tune and a trans schedule and you sure can tell !

just purchased from Auto Anything:
Magnaflow 14221 (polished version of 12198)
Y-Pipe 10778
Superchips 3865

Recent Mods just installed Mag-Hytech Rear diff cover (oil changed to Amsoil)
Trans oil changed to Amsoil
Front Diff oil changed to Amsoil and transfer case changed to Amsoil as well.
Rcvd a 25% discount on amsoil when you sign up for $10 to be preferred customer 6 month trial.. Well worth the $10 for the $65+ discount

Anyway - Thanks AutoAnything for Price mAtching! and cant wait for the Tune!
