THAT sounds exactly like what's going on here. Maybe the dealer did it, maybe it was a mistake at the factory - either way it sounds like an SLT w/Big Horn(y) badges.

 

Could the truck have been maybe ordered that way? Not all trucks in the same model are the same. If you buy a Laramie and I buy one too not all the options are same somtimes so isn't this the same?

 

I have the Big Horn Regional package $2250 on the sticker. I has all of the toys..

Customer preferred package 25G $495.00 alpine, tech group, park sense.

I have a 2009

 

In 09 the crew cabs came with the more options than the quad cabs had. My truck (quad cab) is one of those lesser optioned trucks too.

 

Before I bought my 2010 Ram Lonestar Hemi, I brought a "Hemi" badged one home for the night. When I opened the hood it was a 4.7. The sticker was right and said 4.7 Dealer admitted it was a factory mistake.

AFF: according to dodge the big horn is supposed to come with those options. They dont have an option within that package that states you get this.

Matt3...Im glad you told me that, I am thinking that I pretty much have a 2010 ram slt with an 09 big horn package. What is your manufactuer date on your sticker on the door jamb?

I did see a RAM that was a HEMI but it had the 'flex fuel' badge on the tailgate. The sales guy I pointed it out to said they knew it was a mistake from the factory and were going to remove it. Sometimes the factory f's up. But what is weird with your case is that the window sticker (and VIN records) show the package is installed.

Are there not different packages for different areas? Like for instance I don't think I can even order a Big Horn Or Long Horn here in Canada...never seen or even heard of it till the forums. Seems to be just badging to me, the other options kinda sound like a Sport package in fact my package is 26L 09 HEMI CC Sport $3500 package has all the stuff I need except sunroof which I don't want and heated and cooled seat which I also do not want. Heated seats and a paraplegic are not a smart idea. Bought a vehicle off the lot with heated seats, all I will say is it was a mistake. I had not intention of ever using them but my wife and kids drove so I went for it. I do not like them at all. Now a heated steering wheel would be nice since I hate to wear gloves.

 

If the dealer states that it was a factory mistake and the window sticker states it should come with the following options but did not, it will be on the dealership to fix it. They charged you for it. "It Is Consumer Fraud". Contact the States Attorney generals office and see what they can do. It may take them some time but they should help.
