Exclamation Attention 2010 big horn owners:

I purchased a 2010 ram(deep water blue) big horn,- from my dealer on 12/31/10. My friend also purchased one. The other day I went to visit him, his Big Horn package has several more options. After further research, I discovered that mine was missing "quad halogen headlamps, auto dimming side and rear view mirror, courstesy lamps in mirrors, glove box, hood, ash tray, garage door opener, audio mounted steering wheel controls, and a few other options". Dodge.com says that all big horns come with these.
I ended up looking into it further, both of our trucks were manufactured on 09/09. But yet he has more options. I compared my window sticker with his, they are both conisdered factory package "26g customer perferred package." We both payed $2400 for our Big Horn Package. I feel like im ripped off so I call and complain. The lady treated me terribly and told me the next step was to write a letter. So I did, they are doing research and told me that just because my friends is 4x4, that's why he got those options. BULL SH@@.

I did further research and found that there are even 4.7 L with big horn packages that have all of those options. Has anyone else had this problem? I talked with another friend of mine in Wisconsin, she bought a big horn, I explained to her, and shes missing all the options also. We need enough people to complain about this so it is fixed. I wanted to let everyone know. Let me know your thoughts or if you know what's going on? I'll keep you posted on my end.

No I have BIG HORN, it came with 20" wheels, bumpers/stainless exhaust and a badge. Thats pretty much it. The dealer had no idea either, the case worker at dodge has been working with me for 2 weeks and he still has no clue. Im waiting to hear back. They tried to tell me it was dealer problem, I see it as a factory/dodge problem. No where on there website does it say anything about some trucks not coming with all options. I did contact a lawyer, he says I bought the truck as is and signed contract. My arguement is I shouldnt have had to do that much research, if the brochure and website says I should, then I should. Thanks for input.

I have, compared them side by side...pretty much mine doesnt list those options, the other ones do. But, its the same exact code...26G customer perferred big horn package. Even if you go to dodge.com and build your own, as soon as you click big horn, it show those upgrades under the "i" (information) button.

That sucks! Sorry to hear of your issues. Here's what the 2010 RAM brochure says about the packages:

REGIONAL GROUPS: Lone Star and Big Horn regional groups

Includes Luxury Group, chrome grille with chrome inserts, halogen quad headlamps, fog lamps, 20"x8" aluminum wheels and unique badging. [HEMI V8 and chrome dual exhaust are included with Crew Cab models)

Luxury Group has:

overhead console, sun visors with illuminated vanity mirrors, rearview auto-dimming mirror, power heated mirrors [TRX4 and SLT only], universal garage door opener, glove box lamp, ashtray lamp, underhood lamp, rear dome lamp with on/off switch and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

You should go to a dealer and have them pull up your truck's config based on your VIN. It almost sounds like the window sticker for your vehicle was wrong. Or maybe your dealer was pulling a fast one by slapping a Big Horn emblem on a standard SLT.

Most Lawyers are Sh&% Bags, and will not be of much help unless they will make some money off of the deal. I would press the issue with the BBB, and then the States Atorney Generals Office next on Consumer Fraud. A simple call or letter to the dealership from them may do the trick. The dealership or Dodge having to do much research is a load of crap.

Cool guys, thanks for all the input. What is the BBB? I have had the pull the config of vin. They compared it to my buds vin. I've seen some other trucks like this, its almost like the factory didnt follow thru and like you said put rims, tires, exhaust, bumper, and badge on the truck and rolled it. I've got the window sticker, and according to the vin, the package i have is correct. Thats the confusing part, no one knows why some have and some dont. If Dodge doesnt fix I will pursue a lawyer. Thanks for the tip on consumer fraud!
