Default Performance Accessories 5 inch lift?

I did use the search, and I have found a few references to it, but Im really looking for first hand experience.

Has anyone installed one of these? Any "death wobble" I want to try one on my 09 quad SLT 4x4.

And lastly, how wide are my factory 17 rims, I would like the height of a 35' tire but I dont think my rims can handle the 12.5 wide. Are there other options besides buying new rims?

Thanks for any help,
Regards
Rob

You can fit 35's on a stock 17" aluminum wheel.

IFS trucks don't get death wobble, unless something is terribly messed up. The spacer kits give some people fits, others seem to work fine... it's a roll of the dice. I'd spend the extra couple hundred and get a true suspension lift, but to each his own.

Ill give to to ya straight.. This is totally my opinion but I doubt im alone... Body lifts are for the ones who can't afford suspension lifts. No offense but instead of botering with the body lift part , do the level and you can still use the 35's

Or for those like myself that want to go even higher. My lift kit from CST arrives next week. We are doing the 7" lift with a 3" body lift.

Alright, I think Im gonna do it. After alot of research this seems to be the best option for me. I think Im set on adding the 3" body lift. Ive already got the leveling kit on and I want to clear 35"s and not have them look like I stuffed them under the fenders.

Main reason for deciding on the body lift is so I can still put it in my garage. I have about 5.5 inches of clearance from the garage to the trucks roof now. By adding the 3" lift and a 35" tire I'm only increasing the height by 4" and that should allow me to keep it in the garage. Going to me a tight fit. Even the CST lift will put me too high to get it in the garage.

Not to mention this should not change the ride and its a bit less expensive. Bonus since the wheels and tires alone are gonna run $2800.

I dislike body lifts. They do nothing for performance and do not really look that good.

I would buy a real lift.
