From what I've read and learned, the 6 speed diesel tranny will fit the Hemi...it's the computers that are not compartable with each other. And the 6 speed is a super strong monster tranny that would be sweet if it could...who knows, maybe some day they work it in the programs.

Dothedeww...14.8 is very impressive, right up there with the Ram if not better and very fast for such a heavy truck. And I beleive you about not working for Ford...you made your point, lol! I suspect the Ram you drove had 3.23 gears in it from hearing the way the engine rpms built up in the vid...no big deal. Let them come my way and I guarantee that I would make a case in point about the gear ratio differences, lol! One more thing...I wonder why they didn't test the Chevy 6.2/400+ HP? How did you like the frying pan beat down...that is so funny, lol! So...you must belong to a Tundra forum since you are aware of the Dodge forum....which one? We do have a Tundra guy that visits the forum here. His truck is pretty fast and a RCSB like mine, he's pretty cool...though I forgot his name. Keep an eye out for the new 6.4 Challenge, it's got some kind of high tech tranny and is supposed to be real fast. I hope this tranny will be compatible to our Rams because I'd sure like to swap mine out for one...we'll see! Happy Trucking!

I was a ford guy. all changed in 2006 with my ram. THe dawn of the 5.4 3v and the 3v v/10 and the the demise of the 7.3 power stroke, and not to mention, bailing out on the tried and true 4.9 six, the 5.0 5.8 windsor engines, and the 460 lost a lot die hard ford fans.

Now Ford is back at the plate with the 5.0 4v and its going to get interesting..

No fords for me, ever again.

Thanks for the compliment on the times. haha I hope someone does go to an upcoming event and see how they fair.

I think they didn't use the chevy 6.2 because it would have beat the Ford, same deal with the Tundra. Their excuse was something involving the rear end gears, not sure the exact reason though.

And yes, I do belong to Tundratalk.net, the best Tundra Forum. haha
My profile name is the same so anyone can search and see my truck if they wish.

I also own a '99 Ram 1500 5.2 DCSB 4x4 that is just used as a work truck, that is how I found this site.
I do hope to own a Ram in the future, but the Ram I have now has been through too many transmission in 100k miles, and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Although the new Ram's are very impressive.

I can't wait til these new Ford's get on the street so I can race 'em too.
