Air bags for the rear are a must if you tow a trailer or haul things in the back. They are worth every penny in my book. All you need to do is mount the lines to fill the bags on your license plate and it looks sweet.

The airbags we are talking about here are about 80 bucks. Cheap mod for what they do.

Right now from what I understand there is only the front. I have heard that there are talks about rear springs but nothing has come out. I was able to find a company that sells springs for the rear that raise the rear about one inch but they where $400 dollars. I figures for $300 I could have the airbag setup and keep the factory ride. Check out this link it talks more about it. Plus you can PM the guy who started the thread to get the phone number if you are interested.

mopar has a 4" lift for these trucks but the prices I seen online put it around $2500 to $3000.

So would the air bags give the rear end a little bit of rake? Or should I invest in a small rear spacer as well as the air bags?

I think this seems to be the best way to go.

No lift and I was told you can't put a space and the airbag. Not sure if there is any truth to that as I do not have either.

I saw the other thread and decided to find the other airbags that I have seen. I think you have to take the springs out to install these ones though. Anyway check out this link.

I got to tell you guys, I am becoming increasingly turned off with the concept of this Mopar leveling kit. It sound likes a money pit to the more I think about it because of the added costs of needing to lift the rear etc. I wish Mopar sponsored a 1.5 kit like Daystar's kit because it leaves some rake in the truck. Then at this point, I would simply add some air bags to keep it that way. I fear if raising the front too much and the rear, that I will be influenced to get bigger tires which could easily cost over $1,000, plus by the time I add a bigger tire, my truck will be slower and then I'd just want 3.92 gears. My gut instinct is to just personally install the day star 1.5" front spacer myself, and call it a day. Chances are most dealers wouldn't even notice the part.

Heres a pic from a member on the forum who did the subtle yet effective front kit from Day star. I like it a lot.

You just have to decide what you really want. I was very, very concerned with my warranty and didn't want to mess anything up. So for me the Mopar kit was a great fit. I tow a boat but it is about 5 miles to the lake and then 5 back and we only go out once or twice a month so realistically I am only towing about 20 miles a month. Considering I am averagaing 2000 miles a month it anly accounts for 1% of me total driving time. So the sag really isn't a big issue. If I was towing all the time and had to tow long distances then I would probaly just get the rear springs. I think the biggest problem with these truck's is they only make really expensive lift kits for it. So people like you an I end up piecing together parts for a 2.5 inch kit. Some of us only want the truck to look like a truck and not a lifted hillbilly truck. ( No insult's intended )So you just need to decide what is important to you and follow through. To me you sound concerend about the warranty to since you bought the mopar kit. Get it put on and see where it goes from there. No matter what you are always going to want to do something different or add to it in the future anyway. One last thing the Airbags to me still sound like a good idea because they control the sag and make the truck more stable when towing. Just don't overthink your decision. I did and I have a daystar leveling kit in my garage. Which by the way if you want to buy it I will sell it to you. It was never installed and is still new sitting in the box. I am coming to NH for Christmas in two weeks and could bring it up to you then. Sorry couldn't resist trying to sell it.
