7.5 mpg, all I can expect??
I ran shops for 30 odd years.I'm retired now and don't have to be all nice and polite when something is the way it is.I had my share of poor fuel mileage vehicles.Once I was satisfied that there was not a mechanical issue and did a fuel mileage test(which you haven't done with a tech or service manager) that showed normal then there's one thing left.Owner and how its driven. When you stated the distance you drove it and the stops that were made plus winter fuel and cold(it is in Canada.) your fuel mileage doesn't sound far fetched. You yourself said your old truck got 9 driving the way you do. Your thread is titled 7.5 mpg is that ALL I can expect. With what you say has been looked at and driving conditions then YES thats it. I was on your side until you told how it was driven and what you got from a previous truck.Until you ride with someone from a dealer and do a proper fuel mpg test there is really nothing else to go on about. Once you leave a service manager with his jaw hanging cause the truck really has a issue and dealer can't fix it then be bad upset.Until then I say again.Your truck sounds like it has normal operation for how its being used.
