Hey fellas. I have talked about this problem alot on here. I have a 2010 reg cab hemi 2wd with 3.21 rear end. Sounds like it is going on with all types of models. My truck has 22,000 miles on it and has done it from day 1. I have taken it to the dealer and they dont know anything. I figured something would eventually break. But 22,000 miles later, nothing has broke. I love the truck other then this problem.

I believe it is an mds issue. I bought a superchip and disabled the mds and the truck runs perfect. I am just upset, because if i spend $24,000 on a new truck, i shouldnt have to buy a $300 superchip to make it run good !

Meanwhile, if Dodge doesnt find a fix, i will be trading the truck off. My time on earth is too valuable to be taking it to the dealer 20-30 times. I will also never buy another Dodge and will tell everyone i know not to buy a Dodge. Hope there is a fix soon

Anybody in here have a 2012 hemi truck with this rattling/vibration problem that the 09 10 and 11 has...?
I`m gonna bet, they have the newer torque convertor in them now. I also bet the MDS programming is also changed for 2012 too..!
Time will tell...!

I dont believe your issue has anything to do with what most are complaining about on their trucks, but good to know none the less.
It comes down to the torque convertor "lock-up" issue interacting with the MDS, and THEN causing vibrations/rattles thru out.
The TQ also can be heard rattling during lock-up. Also heavy vibrations coming thru the steering wheel, and or gas pedals.
Some are even feeling it thru the seats too. Supposidly the NEW revised TQ takes care of the problem.

What i would like to know is, is this "Star Case" TQ a different TQ than what they have been previously been installing,
or is the new TQ a different TQ. Is ther anyone on here that KNOWS the facts, tell us if this new TQ is a different one than
the one they previously been using...? If its the same TQ they`ve been installing, then whats the point in replacing it with the
same exact TQ and not cure it for good..!?!?!?!?! Same TQ will eventually rattle again, is my point.

Didn't push too hard as this is one of the best dealership service depts I been to in a while, can't complain til they screw up. Said they would have it back to me today, which again was impressive. Finger crossed, otherwise for what I paid I love the truck. Will update
Everything still working great with about 5K under the belt since the repair. The new TQ took care of it.

Not sure the MDS has anything to do with it as the 4.7 have the same issue. Don't think the 4.7 have MDS. My TQ was bad at 4 miles, I put more than 5k on the new one and no issues.
