Way to go! Glad to hear it. Do you have a part number to reference? Something I can show my dealership?

Here is that part number on my paperwork.

RL051241AB Converter-Torque

Hope this helps you guys. Took me 2 days in the shop to replace the part as well and the warranty covered a dealer rental.

Goold luck!

Mine was built in 3-11. Its a non-hemi V8 so no MDS either.

Default same problem

I have a 2011 ram with 5.7 hemi and 6000 miles with the same noise. Dealership kept it for two weeks and said the dodge engineers couldn't figure out the noise, finally they tore the transmission apart just to say that everything was under specs.

I called the service manager with the part # for the new TC. Supposed to get it installed here shortly, hope it works.

Thanks

I have the same issue with my new 2011 1500 w/ hemi, dealer said to wait for an updated flash file to download. I feel it most when in tow mode and between 40-60km/h. started from new and now have 10,000km's. Been in 3 times before they acknowledged the issue. Sounds like it could be a loose scroud or guard. The mechanic thought it had to do with the 4cyl mode (eco) and noise coming from the engine. I thought it was the transmission.

best of luck

I am pretty sure tow mode shuts off the eco (MDS) stuff. 40-60 MPH around 1500 rpm is where this becomes the most audible under light throttle conditions.

The dealer applied all updates to my truck and it made zero difference. I don't think a flash will fix a defective part (just my opinion). I would keep at it.

Default dealer

I had mine in the shop for 3 weeks and they had the Dodge Engineers stumped, finally they tore the transmission completely apart and check everything in it and put it back together. Same noise, I gave the TC part number and now I am waiting to hear from them. 6k miles and my noise starts at 30 mph in tow haul and 50 mph when not in tow haul. Sound like it is getting louder but they may just be because I am getting more agravated with it.

I have a 2011 ram 4.7 liter . Has almost 3500 mil on it .noticing a noise similiar to that sounds like exhaust leak when just trying to hold it at certain speed if that makes since . Bought it new does this sound like the shudder everyone is talkin about ?
