I just bought a 2011 Ram 4x4 QC and I don't know if I should install a leveling kit or not. I had an 09 Nissan Titan that I installed a leveling kit on and it made a tremendous difference in looks. After reading all the bad posts, I'm somewhat hesitant. I read problems with 2" and 2.5" kits, so why doesn't someone make a 1.5" spacer? 1.5" isn't much, but it's an improvement.

My question is, are the problems you read about here a small percentage of the trucks with leveling kits installed, or closer to 50/50?

Based on what i have read, No way im going to install one. I was going to do it for larger tires (33"s) but based on my trucks performance, staying with the stock 32's (TRX model) and getting a beefier and more aggressive tread pattern is where im going towards. More tire, equals more resistance, which equals more power to spin at the same speed. Makes sense to me....hey i read it in my latest 4wheeler mag, i didst make this up


I don't feel comfortable with limiting my shocks amount of travel with spacers...to each their own, not knocking spacer trucks, i had them in my old one..

Get it done by the dealer. The will install a Mopar leveling kit and i think it's made by Superlift. It will be cover by warranty if something happens.

And i think it's just a small percentage of trucks that have problems but i think is due to poor aligment, wheel balancing. It's just a 50/50 shot that you won't have any problems.

I have a 07' Dakota with a Daystar Leveling kit and i have not had any problems, other members had problems and took them out. Like i said it's just hard to guess if you'll have any problems.

But my opinion, just do it! It changes the whole look of the truck !!

I sure do like mine! I put on the Bilstien 5100 leveling shocks. No problems whatsoever, Great stance and ride. Really feels like a truck now!

BTW, I set mine at the highest setting of 2.8". Rear wheelwell is just over 1/2" higher than the front. To me, it sets perfect.

I still dont understand how the adjustable shocks alleviate the dodge wobble in the front end. Isnt the front end wobble being caused the the angles the cv joints are at. So by adding 2.5"'s of shock or throwing a spacer inbetween the stock coilover and the frame, seems like 2.5"'s is 2.5"s. Someone chime in and correct me if im wrong. I know the adjustable suspension will have longer travel then the already compressed stock shock by the spacer, but still, its going to put the same amount of angle degree difference between stock rake and a 2.5" increase on the cv joints... right?

From the pictures I have seen of them leveled, they look horrible, don't do it.

Cant find any pictures of a ram with the 5100's installed. Got any idea where you came up with that info that they look like crap?

would have the same issues. The review for the f-150 says it keeps the cv joint angles the same.....

I'm going to call my local dealer tomorrow morning and see if they have the Mopar leveling kit and if they have installed any. I can't stand the front rake. It doesn't even look like a 4-wheel drive truck.
