Hi zx14k just take your remote and remove the battery you will see four small pins just bend them for a better contact with the battery and your problem should be fixed.

I actually had this problem about a year ago. It was something in the key fob that was keeping it from transmitting to the truck, I took it in to the dealership and they swapped my key fob and it worked fine after that.

Had this problem with my remotes not always opening doors. Took them to the dealer a few weeks ago and they replaced both of my remotes with new ones and programmed them for me. Dealer told me Chrysler knows of the problem and that's why Chrysler changed manufacture for the remote.

hey dizzy,
you wouln't still have a copy of your service receipt would you?
it would certainly be helpful to have a copy of yours. my dealer knows nothing of the key fob replacement option.
thanks

Move on to a different dealer, it is called warranty and if they don't understand that then you are in trouble.

I had my fob not work when trying to unlock and remote start. Icleaned the contacts with a qtip and alcohol, slightly bent out the 4 prongs that touch the battery, AND the two prongs on the side.

It has worked great since I did that; 2 weeks and counting.

When I get a chance I,ll see if the dealer put any codes for replacing the remotes on the work order. This was done at my dealer in Toronto.
