Oem plugs on my 06 are champions, copper, as far as I know copper plugs are still standard issue on the hemi, now to throw some oil on the fire, SRT hemi engines run platt plugs and the rule of thumb is to stick with crapp copper plugs, on the 06 hemis I know guys who use platt plugs and have no issues ( trucks are off warenty )

To keep your warrenty, you have to run copper plugs, Im convinced platt plugs will not harm a hemi, all thow in Canada, we pay a lot for platt plugs.
Not this Canadian, he just drives thru the tunnel or over the bridge to the US and get them there is need be.Tired of our money at par and some days worth more that the US and we still pay more for everything...makes no sense.
My wife does the couponing thing here, does nothing for the grocery bill, she does it over there (US) she spends 100 bucks comes home with 500 in goods easy and she is just starting into this.

My warranty book says they are required to guarantee them 24month,24,000 but dodge chose to guarantee them 36month,36,000.

Just changed mine at 45,000 km and the originals showed little wear and were almost all at the proper gap. I wouldn't want to leave them too much longer in case they seize, but does seem like a bit of a waste. I was told by the stealership that they are required at 50.000 km and I don't want to mess with the warranty. Although I did it myself in just over three hours taking my time, I should've looked up the DIY on this forum as it's a good writeup.

The OEM plugs from NGK are actually nickel, not platinum for the 09-up. There is a thread on this already. The 03-08 use copper core Champions and are recommended to be changed every 30K.

From what I just read the standard NGKs are all copper CORE. I was on the NGK site and other places. The Autolite iridium I used in my truck are copper CORE also. Its the TIP that is made of different metals affecting plug life.

When I installed the new OEM spark plugs, I gapped them at 1.00mm and will not look at them for 60,000 miles now.
I did mine @ 35K miles, which is 5K more that you are "suppose to go"
and like you after inspecting the plugs I would have went longer without issue.

My plan for the 35K was I am getting a new truck @ 100K. If I changed every 30 I would have to do it three times, at 35K now I only will be doing it twice. I will probably go a little longer this time as well. Maybe run it to 75 or 80, or 40-45K miles on the set.
