Bump Feel When Stopping
I have a 2010 1500 Laramie and when doing stop and go driving I notice intermittantly just after i have stopped I get a small Bump type feeling from undercarriage, I have checked the spare tire and it's not loose and all looks o.k. under the vehicle. I have a friend that has a similar truck and he has alos noticed it sometimes, Any one else feeling this??? I should note it does this in 2wd, 4wd auto and 4wd lock nothing seems to matter but it's almost like the transmission downshifts into 1st after Im stopped and has a slight harsh engagement, had a quick learn done at the dealer but still does it.
Look throughout the forums this is a common problem
I have it on my 2011 Crew Cab Sport 4x4
And it goes all the way back to the 2003 Hemi's
Its the tourque converter not disengaging until after the stop
and it trys to stall the motor. Watch your RPMs when you feel
that "kick" and see if it dips then comes back..
Also see if your truck is having the symptoms described in this thread

My '11 Sport 4x4 is doing the same thing. Don't think it's fuel sloshing as my RPM's drop to near 500 then back up to idle. . Dealer says it's bad gas. Have taken it back a few times with no luck on a fix or even getting them to spend much time looking at it.
I have the same problem and its not from the fuel sloshing, if it was the fuel you would feel the truck move around a bit more then just a quick "bump". I feel like i get rear ended sometimes because the bump is so noticeable, then other times, it doesn't do it at all

Its in programing. My 09 did this and there was RRT for engine and transperformance that addressed this issue. I'm sure the 2011 was long corrected. But I think you have a issue to do with such. Speed of downshift, idle speed, torque converter performance. Etc. Might try disconnecting the negative battery cable. Wait a few minutes and re hook back up. Put engine/trans BCM in a relearn and see if any difference.
