the majority of parts on our trucks are made in mexico, then assembled in canada. i went to work on my truck shortly after buying it and the words "made in mexico" are found all over the under side. pretty disgustingOriginally Posted by Truckerman
@ moosefire66. You're right I am a dumb *** for buying this junk. Don't blame the supliers for improper installation. This keeps up and our trucks will be worth nothing. So get mad if you want but you know I'm telling the truth.
where as the toyota tundra is almost all made in USA. and they have a specific tool box set up at the dealer aimed at american truck buyers like me. each drawer is a different part and where its made at in the USA, and the competitions similar part and how the tundras is beefier, etc etc.
its all pretty pathetic

Well, the Pathetic part is why these trucks are made in Mexico and Canada.
Unions. If the US workers weren't so spoiled and demand $60.00 an hour we would have more stuff made in this country.
That and our export/import policy. It $uck$ a$$.

Dont feel sorry for ya half of that **** you should have see before you left the dealer. Even if you ordered it you don't have to accept it if you are not happy with it. I have a real early build 09 and so far just the small recalls and rims and running boards and a mirror under warranty. The rims and running boards I expected...never was a fan of the chrome clads. Oh well they look nice when new. The paint is pretty good, not perfection but then I have not seen a perfect paint job on any production line vehicle. Remember how much you paid for these trucks and all the options for that money. Good luck over at GM or Ford, you will spend way more money.Originally Posted by Truckerman
So whos palm print is in my paint the supliers. I was just naming off some problems but if u want the ones the retards at dodge did I can name them,or you can go out and look at your truck and see them. These are my problems.Weather striping coming off, palm print in paint, water leaking in from center break light from improperly installing gasket. What are your problems? And I know you have them. By the way the last time i checked i wrote the check to dodge, not the suplier it's there job to make sure the parts are good before they install them. So I paid dodge I blame dodge. I'm back quiet.

Gotta get the facts straight,Rams are made in US and Mexico, they make the Minivan, Routan, Challenger, Charger and 300 in Canada. By the way I think all the HEMI's are made in Mexico. People on the line don't make 60 and hour 32 or so I believe plus benefits. Nafta ****ed us all. Letting Mexico into the fray because they are too stupid to stand up for themselves and ask for more money.Originally Posted by RAMULAK

What is wrong with Canada anyway? I think they should build them all here in Canada all the money makers are built here, interesting.

I was including benefits in my amount per hour.
Fr a 2008 article. I doubt the amounts went down too much as medical coverage has gone up.

Unless it changed in 09-up, the 1500's are built in the USA and the 2500/3500 are built in Mexico. Unfortunately, the Hemi's are built in Mexico as well.

Now I'm off warrenty and don't go to a dodge dealer. life is great, I have to agree all dealers, and all makes all play the same cards.
Dodge has been the best built truck I have ever owned, perhaps better than any new dodge I will never own and to be fair, my 06 Ram 2500 has querks and issues that are now surfacing with tie rods and ball joints.
BUT I have no payments !!!!!!! and no more worries abought scratchs and dents, hail damage, ect.
If dodge don't fix my truck, I will pay some one else to fix it, or park it and invest in a new Kia.

Just learned about this recall the Hard Way.... the left front Tie Rod End Snapped Friday while it was being serviced by the local Firestone Tire Garage, they fixed it but the scarey thing is I was supposed to have taken the truck with Gooseneck Stock trailer and two of my famlies horses, my Wife, her firend and two students to a horse show Saturday morning... I cannot imagine the carnage that would have occured if it had failed me on I-95 with the trailer behind me and the cab full.... now to find out this morning that the part was Recalled 07 July 2011.... here it is October 31st and the only phone calls/letters I have recieved from Dodge is about them wanting me to bring my truck in and trade it in (trying to get back my Lifetime Power train warranty...). I had this truck built in 2008 has my retirement gift to me when I retired from the US Army and the dealership has all my information based on how often they try to get me trade in my truck but they couldn't Notify me of a safety issue!! This is insane, there lack of action could have cost lives...

Finally got mine done last wed along with a bunch of other service work (oil/rear diff fluid/trans fluid). They did a full alignment on it, which was good since I had just had one done about 5K miles ago when I got a couple new tires.
