2 more questions. Is the trans tune worth it? Do you still get the same number of tunes on the Flashpaq as you do on the Cortex?

Thanks for the reply!

I think the whole warranty thing depends on the dealer. Because many dealers here they don't care that you have tuned it, what they look at is what caused that specific part to fail. If they can narrow it down to the tuner then yes your warranty is done. So unless the tranny tune makes the transmission unreliable I don't think it would make a difference. I would still double check with your dealer to make sure tho.

What is it that you are looking to get out of your tranny? Different shift points, or just a faster shift? I had a transmission line booster on my 3rd gen, it made that tranny shift nice hard, and fast. This is just a $10 inline resistor from sonnex. I don't know if they make them for the 4th gen, but if thats what your looking for thats a pretty cheap solution. It would save you $30, and the hassle of warranty (If there is going to be one)

All your doing here is boosting the line pressure, in fact by doing this you would be doing your tranny a favor. Manufactures don't do this just for the ride, most people want a smooth ride with no feeling of the tranny shifting. If your like me and that didn't bother you your tranny now shifts faster and causes less heat. You going to feel it now, but in turn helps it and makes it last longer.

Just a thought...

There is a thread on here regarding the vivid, I would use my own android device if I was going this route and opt for the soon to be available vivid linq. I imagine it would be a few hundred less.

And it also seems like they are coming out with new technology that incorporates tuning and whatnot into your smartphone...just thought I would give you a heads up about bullydog...
Of course they did, all of those things are illegal in most places seatbelt chime could go away I think people who are going to conform to using it have by now the rest never will. The fog light and High Beam together is pointless other than to make some coming the other way get into a ditch or better you! Daytime running lights what do they hurt? To spend all that money for those types of things is not worth it to me. I would want transmission shift point adjustable, really all I would like, oh and turn off mds fully as well and traction control for when you wanna waste your money on tires because it is very hard to get this baby to crack a squeak unless I hold the key forward all the way then the tires will go. I like the feeling of the way it drives in towhaul mode. Anyway for that kind of money they should do more.
