have you had it in 4WD yet? I have a set of 5100 but nervous about the wobble, i wasnt going to go the full height maybe just an 1.5 increase.

Thanks for taking the time to do such a good write up, the truck looks great.

One question, after the shocks are installed how hard is it to change the ride height?

I still haven't put it in 4WD yet, gotta get on the dirt roads or for the snow to fall to try it out. I don't want to do it on dry pavement..not in my truck. Hopefully this weekend I'll get to try her out...

Once you install the struts and set the height, if you feel like changing the height again....you have to take it all apart re-compress the spring and pull the strut out and move the OEM Spring seat up/down. Then you'll have to go get another alignment completed again since your toe will be all jacked up again. Pain in the ****...

Question

Nice write-up and look.
Would this be the same procedure on a 2011 1500 Laramie 4x4?

Thanks again...

i want to level my truck so bad, but im afraid of the shudder/wabble that 99% of everyone on the boards has got.... regardless of these shocks or plain spacers.

dont know if it changed at all, but i have an early build 09 sport..

I will share my story for those of you concerned about wobble. I put my bilsteins on the 1.5 setting and instantly had the wobble. I had ordered a set of the kore high angle cv joints and planned on installing both at the same time but the cv joints took a while to ship and I didn't want to wait for them. Once they arrived I installed the high angle joints thinking that would help with the wobble. It did eliminate about 50% of the wobble but it was still very noticeable. Then I got a letter from dodge about my front tie rod ends being recalled so I went and got that done and the new tie rods completely solved my wobble problems and they have been gone now for around 8k miles. Also for those of you who want to tow trailers and not worry about coon hunting going down the road then I would go with the 1.5 setting. It really changed the look of my truck.

Excellent Job Mike...!!!! Truck looks awesome too bro...!
As for adjusting the height, is this done by adding or taking away any spacers under the spring seat on the shock body itself...?
Forgive me buddie, i`m not up to speed on lifting trucks. I had an old 74 powerwagon years ago that i lifted (4"body lift & 4"spring lift) but i havent messed with lifting another truck since. (and to think, that was 32 years ago when i lifted that truck....LOL LOL LOL) Anyhow, i`m just curious how those shocks you have on your truck now, can change to different ride heights.

I hear that over time the nuts loosen and the hight comes down a bit. Has any one had this issue, solved this issue or noticed this issue? I herd you can score the threads but what if you want to adjust down one day?
