Default '13 Headlights

Anyone know or think that the '13 headlights will fit on '09 on up trucks. It'd be nice if they did.

Even if they do, which I highly doubt given all the computer-controlled crap these days, you know they are going to be exceptionally expensive. Probably $400-600 per side. OEM HIDs are ridiculously priced. I know just the headlight housings on my 2001 IS300 were almost $400 each side WITHOUT the ballasts or bulbs.

If I'm proven wrong then awesome. I'd love as much as anyone to get decent headlights in this truck.

I don't know if they will fit and agree they will be expensive but they are not HID. They are just halogen projectors

Projectors without HID's are pretty much a waste of $$... little bit better light output but not worth just going w/ halogen style bulb. If your going to go w/ projectors spend the extra 100-200 bones and get HIDs. I'm running Morimoto Projectors w/ 6K 55W HIDs in my truck from Retro-Solutions and love them, my setup is from JJ over at RetroShop.us , log onto his site and look at all his work. It really is flawless.

I got my full setup HID's, New headlights w/ the retro-fit and a RAM specific harness for right around $700 (but I bought new headlights instead of sending mine in) this was by far the best improvement to my truck.

I still do not understand why HID's are not at least optional on the more loaded styles. It's not like the truck is not expensive as it is.

Having had HID's on other vehicles, I always get them if I can.

Totally agree with you, the jeep has them on the Grand Cherokee can't see why they can't work out a deal and put them on the ram..

I`ll bet they made a small enough change to them so that you cant retro them into the older tucks. Now THAT would really just suck..!!! I hated the 55/65 quad lights in these older 4th gen trucks, just cant see **** at night with them. My other 2010 hemi truck has the dual headlights which are even worse...! I modded both my hi & low beams... now have 65watt low`s, and 80watt hi`s. Also now have 55watt halogen fog lamp bulbs as well instead of the factory 45watt. I pitty the fools that dont dim their lights. Great big HUGE difference now. I wasnt about to spend $500 to $700 bucks for HID with no guarantee`s that it wouldnt fugg up the tipm in my truck. (heard of too many nightmares with HID in these trucks so it kept me from doing it) I think i spent around $50 bucks for all my bulbs and some small labor time to install them. I also modded 4 halogen #894 bulbs and installed them in my back up lights, and my 3rd brake light. The #894 halogen 37.5watt bulbs beats the hell out of those 18watt #921 bulbs any day of the week, wayyyyy brighter now.

One nice thing, even if those new 2013 headlights have just halogen bulbs, its gonna make it sweet for the guys that want real HID bulbs, just a matter of buying the HID bulbs and ballist`s and replace the factory halogen bulbs. At least you wont have to buy the projectors now, they`re already there for you. Cudo`s to dodge for finally upgrading the lights on these trucks, the 4th gen headlights just plain suck unless you do some modding to them. I see they went with LED tail lights too, not sure that was a smart move for us buyers, they`ll cost a fortune to replace them when the LED`s start blowing out... and they will.
