Just got volant cia in my 2011 ram 1500 sport. They removed the hemi hat what does it do exacly? Should u have it on in the winter if its like -30 and does it protect your engine from dirt? And does anyone know if i can put it back on with the volant intake?
Are you referring to the engine cover? If so, yoy should be able to remount it with the CAI. It really doesn't server a purpose other then a another plastic cover to give the engine bay components a cleaner look. I took mine off the Charger six years ago, now it's a clock in the garage.

The engine cover is there for nvh but with an aftermarket intake your defeating the purpose, it's now just for looks
Supposably it works as a dampener, but I've never observed any difference with or without the cover installed prior to any modifications. I replaced mine with half covers, and color matched them to the exterior color.
Harness is suppose to be Harshness. I hate auto-correct!
