desperate- load levelers/lift bags
I can't help with the airbag question since I have no experience. I just know that properly balancing your loads and using aWD hitch is better than overcompensating with suspension components. I'm sure someone else will have some knowledge of the bag issues.
From your pictures I would very strongly suggest that you install a weight distribution system as Tusakha has mentioned. You have to remember that 600+lbs. on the end of any 1/2 ton truck is a lot different than 600 lbs. in the box of the truck and I'm not getting into the math. The other thing is your going thru a lot of effort to turn your 1/2 truck into a 3/4 ton truck. Earlier I had mention about Timbren. I know a Dodge dealer fleet manager, that swears by these units. He also plows snow hauls bags of salt and sand and is a hard core Ram fan and has used these units for many years.. I have just purchased a 2012 Outdoorsman and will be towing a 5th wheel next summer, he told me if you find the truck has too much sag to install the Timbren system. With that watch the video and scroll back to the other links I posted here.
I think it might be a better way of supporting a trailer when you have the weight and still have the smooth ride when unloaded. Air bags usually cause a rough unsettling ride when unloaded caused by having a minimum air pressure to keep them from being damage when not needed.
But what ever you do, please get a trailer weight distribution system, you have a lot of money tied up in what you are towing.

Magnethead,
You should be able to adjust the air bags to have just enough air engage between the top and bottom plates and not be stiff. Have you tried 2-5 psi.
If you're still having trouble, please shoot me an email on our website and we'll give you a call back.

Also, they had a bad leak. We had 15psi in them and this morning they were at 3psi. When we first put them in, before we added any air, they lifted the truck 1 inch. 5 psi brought it up another 3/4 inch. 15psi added another inch and change.

Looks like the driver bag simply doesn't want to compress onto itself flatly.
click thumbs. The one with the sud + bolt is pass side, one with only the stud is driver side (That bolt is a PITA so we left it in there and put the nut back on it)

<- Bags not sitting flat on themselves

<- pretty noticable difference
<- notice air gap on left side of bag stack

<- can see the bag not sitting right on itself

You're kidding right? Color was chosen above load capacity?
Dad doesn't like any of the other colors. We wanted an orange/bronze/rust to match the camaro, but the green is a good contrast so we put it #2 choice and that's what we got.
The unit you have is manufactured by Airlift. When I went on the Airlift site they show 2 units, none like the one you have under your truck. One is a Closed Cell Urethane Foam the other is a airbag that fits inside the coil spring. http://shop.airliftcompany.com/dyn_search_vehicle?k=0 -Ram 1500
The one you have looks like one to fit a 3/4 ton Ram http://www.catalograck.com/imgVD/AIL...7290_57297.pdf

the other thing, what is the recommended minimum air pressure. It should be around 5psi minimum

Magnethead (and his Dad) are the first return we have had of any TLC suspension ;(
The air bags (GoodyearŽ SuperCushionŽ) did not leak when inspected upon their return.
FYI, every week it seems we get orders from 4th Gen RAM owners who have the "inside the coil spring" sleeves and upgrade to TLC.
