Ya, I still think this is more a tire issue than a truck issue.

well, I've had my 2012 Ram 2500 4x4 in the snow, and wanted to see how it did with the T/C turned off.. I touched the button, the light came on, on the dash and I was able to do cookies easily. The OEM tires SUCK, so even with both rear tires spinning away, I could have got out and just watched them (it has the Trak Rite limited slip) spin and the vehicle sitting there. I'm not sure if it's because I have a manual transmission or not..

My 08 2wd doesn't have traction control. I don't have any problems in the snow. I have the anti-spin 3.92 rear and only have rear wheel ABS. Drove 80 mile round trip to work in an ice storm a couple years ago with nothing in the bed and on 50K mile original 20" Goodyears.

Does seem a bit odd that it won't go in 4wd. I hope you get it figured out.
