I don't think I could have traded in a truck like that without ripping the system out first and getting it into a drivable condition. The next guy that buys it is gonna be really upset. Even if it is ripped out, who knows what damage has been done.

This thread is another great argument for keeping your truck bone stock.
Like you Adog, my truck is a LOADED 2010 w/60,000+ miles on the clock, it STILL looks like brand new overall. Who ever gets my trucks always gets a perfect truck when i trade them in. Every vehicle i have owned has always been 100% virgin...never molested. Just sneakers and stopper pucks & rotators, when she behave`s herself....lol. Used vehicles just scare me today... most are like women, used up and traded in and become worthless money pits.

I read this whole thread start to end...

Gonna say that this thread will likely get locked or deleted as the manufacturer is a site sponsor. Not sure what went wrong, but seriously bad juu juu going on. Sounds like this was more like plug and pray than plug and play.

I need to say it is kind of a jerk move to unload a truck that you know is a total dog, and if the supercharger is still installed will never get fixed by R&^p superchargers and likely cause the next owner nothing but a giant headache, and cost money. I can say I have never unloaded a car like that on a dealer or any person.

Anyway. Keep your truck stock and never deal with an issue like this. Lu may be an old fart, but he also knows the advantages of not messing with a vehicle.

Well i hope they dont lock it or delete it, people NEED to know that ther are issues with what seems to be only with the 2011 rams. I myself dont care to do these things to my vehicles, but some do, it would be unfair for them not to know this information. I dont care if RIPP or anyone else is a site sponser, if you`re not standing behind your product, then they should stand in front of it to block the products view from being bogusly sold. On a side note here, have they tried a 2009 or a 2010 ECU in the 2011 trucks to see if that would fix the issues...??? Or wont the 2009/2010 ECU`s work in a 2011 truck (???) How bout it RIPP, any thoughts on this on going issue with the 2011 trucks with your product...? Would a 2010 ecu pooter work in a 2011...??? If not, why wouldnt it...?

@atomicdog... old fart huh, well i didnt get this old by being stupid (hehehehe)
Thanks adog, i owe ya bro...lol...take care man :-)

The problem with the aftermarket parts is everyone of them want to be the "first to market" with something new. They are trying to make a quick buck instead of doing the R&D it takes to put out a quality product. Ripp isn't the only guys doing this, I couldn't tell you how many problems I had with Diablo and their Predator tuner on my 06 SRT 8 Charger.

My advice would be keep the vehicle stock at least the first couple of years to give the aftermarket adequate time to build a quality product. Then buy from a company that has a reputation of building good products. Dont you wonder why companies like Edlebrock or Procharger dont have a kit for these trucks? Because they havent worked the bugs out of them yet and they are not going to send something out they "think" will work.

And not only 1st to market, but it sounds like they do not even have a truck in their fleet to do the R&D on. That should be question #1 when working with one of these small places - how many miles are on your 20xx test bed truck since you installed your product?
