Default Dodge Ripp Supercharger report and experience

So I took the plunge on the Ripp supercharger... I wanted to let everyone to know my experience.

I had it installed by one of their recommended shops.
Either I had an intake manifold leak (I have 46000 miles) or one was created by the supercharger honestly I don't know. That was the first thing I repaired.

I am now two weeks into it and trying to get the tune worked out.... (Truck drivable) It does take a while to get the tunes back so be prepared to wait if there is a problem.

Currently I get rich readings along with intake manifold warning (This one is a big issue because you have to pull over to the side of the road...) The shop has ran a smoke machine through the engine to determine there are no air leaks...

I am going into the third day waiting for the revised tune..... We will see. I will update everyone as this plays out

For now I will enjoy my rental a turbo charged Ford Fiesta

I've been looking at the RIPP for my 2009 1500 so I'm interested to hear how this plays out for you.

A question if you dont mind, what made you choose the RIPP?

Thanks and good luck!

So now Ripp is telling me the tune is fine and swap the spark plugs for a warmer set...... I don't see how that would turn the p107 manifold warning on but we will see... the existing ones were pretty black....

I choose ripp because it looked like they had a well thought out product and I have a 2011.

Did you try cleaning the MAP sensor. Black plugs, must be running really rich!

So we put some new plugs in that run a little hotter... Seemed to help... It runs better but still am getting two rich errors after logging a few hundred miles... So I sent off the log for hopefully a third revision on the tune.... map sensor was clean... So the saga continues

Default Stupid question but?

What made you go with a Ripp supercharger anyway? These trucks dont have much tolerance for boost so why not use a reputable company? Eddlebrock and ProCharger make great systems for these trucks and they are basically plug and play.

also I was told these units were plug in play. They have them running on a 2000 trucks. I think the problem is with the ECU in the 2011. We will see I'm waiting for the third revision on the tune.
