Default Have you had this much trouble 11 Ram sport

2011 Ram Sport Hemi 4x4 crew 50000kms/30k

-torque convertor replaced
-AC needed recharge no leak found
-t-case is presently being replaced (never worked right since new)
-Read diff bearings are all being replaced
-rear window motor was replaced
-engine is being diagnosed presently for a loud constant tick
-doors on drivers side had to be realigned
-rear door weather striping keeps coming off (being addressed on this dealer visit too)
-Sunroof leaked and soaked my headliner (was not replaced) done twice now

There's a few other things I am not thing about . Bought this truck off the lot in march 2012 . Been back too many times . Anyone else having these issues ? I have filed with Chrysler so let's see what they offer up for my lemon purchase . I will update when I hear back from them

i work for a rental co and we get trucks back from a year or 2 at a local potash mine. you should see them when we get them back, then we clean, paint, etc and sell. 1 truck had the trans pan rusted through and started leaking. it's possible it was a rental or an abusive owner.

Never abused . I bought it new off the lot !

All mileage is hwy use as I live 50kms from the city , and work 500kms away . I would rate 97% hwy , 3% city use , seriously . I have a small collection of jeeps I use when around home , right now a 98 5.9l Grand Cherokee I'm using . My new avitar only shows 2 outta 8 jeeps , it's my hobby . 2 Comanche's (one complete parts truck) , 2 Cherokee's(1 complete for parts) , and 2 other 5.9 Grand Cherokee's (one for parts but not complete anymore)

Only dirt road it has seen is my 1/8 mile ride from the pavement to my garage . It's a kept road , not rough , regularly maintained . That does explain my shock in the rear having to be replaced due to leaking at 20000kms . One issue I forgot to mention . I have 2 of my jeeps lifted for on/off road use , well built .

Abused ? I wish . With so many problems , I would love to say I abused it and use that for an excuse , but I can't . I'm mid 40's , have a clean record , not even a photo radar . I don't even recall ever flooring the gas pedal . Babied no , but definitely never abused .

Thanks for replying

Wow, My wife's 11 Sport has been flawless. We even had it striped down to only the cab on the chassis for a paint job. 2011 didn't offer Detonator Yellow so every thing was dis-assembled upon arrival. The doors were removed and had all hardware removed down to steel shell only, the pan and ram box system, the tail gate, fenders, hood, everything!! All reassembled after the paint job, everything is allinged, no rattles. If something didn't fit right, I could understand but all is well. Sorry yours has not met the grade. My wife drives it like she stole it. Cold air intake and Cat-Back exhaust, it sound awesome and performs very well.

Mike

Alot of the complaints sound normal... i would guess you`ve not spent a dime for the repairs...?
Good thing you didnt buy a ford or a chevy truck, you would have been disappointed even worse...lol.

That's normal , seriously , maybe one or 2 per truck but not all one the one in 30k .

It's bumper to bumper warranty , obviously it's of no cost for repairs . I have had to take a few days off work . I'm hourly , a days pay is $400 missed . I live outside the city , I can't always just drop it off w/o an inconvenience . And yes , I mean to the closest dealer , where the truck was bought . Free , HA , nothing is free !

Last GM I had was a new 95 GMC SLT . 6 years I drove that truck , not once back to the dealer . 2001 I bought a Dakota R/T . I traded it in early 03 with 12000 miles , transmission issues , vibration issues , lights would go out , etc . Bought an 03 1500 4.7 5 speed . That was a good truck but in 06 , fell for a BMW 325ci . Should have kept the 03 . Beautiful car but never used it like I thought I would . Sold it , bought a low k 07 3500 5.9 . Nice truck but after all new parts , steering upgrade , steering gear , ball joints , steering brace , new tires and rims , etc etc etc , I could not shake DW , so , I bought this lemon . As much trouble as I have had with Dodge in the past , this one takes the cake . I'm going back to GMC after this one . I've given Dodge a fair shot I think . Haven't been a Ford guy since my 78 Bronco or 84.5 anniv. GT days . They do say 85% of them are still on the road , I guess only 15% made it to their destination , lol .

Here is a TSB for the ticking sound that techs maybe trying to find, Or is the ticking sound coming from the engine block? Question, do you have the 5.7 engine? If you do, the sound you maybe hearing is the oil jets for the main caps.

I dont want to sound abrasive here, but maybe you shouldnt have bought 3 dodge`s and just stayed with GM`s. I will say though, once you get the bugs worked out of the dodge you have now, you`ll have a good truck for a long time... and likely longer than any other dodge you`ve had in the past. A hardcore chevy guy i work with, been chevy all his life... he took one test drive with my 2010 QC 4x4 hemi truck, guess what he owns now... DODGE, big horn CC 4x4 hemi, and LOVES IT, and his has been flawless for several thousand miles now...! He says he`ll never own another chevy truck again. He says his chevy trucks wernt half the truck that these 4th gen dodge trucks are. Dunno dude, ther are a few lemons in the bunch, they cant ALL be perfect. Let them lemon law it, then get you another one, i`m sure that would work better for you... most do.

Never got the TSB link . I can assume it's for the exhaust manifold bolts ? If so , that's what the tech said first too . Then I showed im a phone video and he now thinks different . Will update when I know /

It is the 5.7 BTW

Not abrasive , maybe too honest , lol .

No lemon law in Canada . We are on the "pay more-get less" plan . lol

Dealer had the truck for near a week , called yesterday at 5PM , only update given was Chysler did contact them and I don't have an ETA on getting it back . I'm gonna drop by and see if it's "in" the shop today .

One little quirk I have is having to personally go to the dealer to show the issue . For example , the t-case . I said it was fubar , they came back with it's fine . Had to take the tech to a paved parking lot , put it in low lock , and do tight circles in it to show him how nice and smooth it was . No hop , no binding , just like a 2WD would be . I even told them the solenoid was functioning as it should , just no 4x4 . Friday , they just installed a new t-case . Just one example !
