My dash lights were on when the radio stayed on , when the radio went off so did the dash lights.

Yes, everything went off when you disconnected the battery - as expected. Next time do as LU said and only pull the radio fuse to see what goes off along with the radio. Then you can at least tell the dealer a little more about the problem.

One of my FOBs stop working and after the radio issue ,it started working as well. I would say it had something to do with disconnecting tha battery.

I went to the dealer last week and they said that chrysler is working on a new software update that will fix your specific issue of the radio not turning off.

Of course no ETA...

Borrowed from another forum ---- this solved my same issue with radio / dash not turning off. I originally thougjt it was the extreme cold weather. Software update of Dec 2013 fixed issue.

"I had a similar problem with mine. Three different dealers in the houston area could not fix it. I called Uconnect and Mopar. I was pointed to the update website and was able to reload the software myself.
1. Go here. https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do
2. Type in the last 8 of your vin.
3. If there is an update available (follow instructions carefully)
4. post your progress back here

Note: You will need a USB flash drive to load the file onto. Insert it into the usb slot in the center console. You are supposed to wait until the bluue light goes out but since you are having a problem already skip that step and just insert it while the key is off. follow other instructions as written on the website.

Note 2: This only to verify the the dealer actually did try to load the update. Its very possible that they did not. I believe that mine did not otherwise how was i able to do it myself? Just sayin...

Hope this helps...by the way, if it does work it may take about 30 to mins to an hour"

I'm happy to see that the problem is resolved. If it does happen again i would recommend bringing it to a dealer to be diagnosed. They will be able to advise if there is an update or repair needed. If you have any questions please PM me.[/QUOTE]
