When you bring it to their attention, they look at you with a "I don't really care" and "there is nothing we can do" attitude. FRUSTRATING! A $54000.00 dollar vehicle with these issues are UNEXCEPTABLE!

I don't understand you guys driving off the lot and having problems and not going right back and dumping it back on them. They sold you faulty goods so there for you have no binding contract with them. You signed a contract to buy a new vehicle under the presumption it would perform as advertised and in working order.

Default A little different radio issue

On my way to work this morning the radio worked but all I could get was FM. The touch screen would only go to the radio and climate screens and I could only listen to FM. When I touched the XM, Media, Phone, Settings, etc. nothing happened. This is the first time it's happened. Anyone else seen this?

Also, anyone have any issues with their interior lights? It's happened a few times where, even though I have my headlights on and the interior dial all the way to the max (without turning the overhead interior lights on) I have nothing on my dash. No speedo, no gauges, nothing lit up. It's a b**ch if you're driving at night.

HER_RAM,

I'm sorry to hear about your concerns. Did the functions for the radio return on their own? Is the issue still present?

Was the radio issue occurring at the same time as the interior lights?

The radio functions returned to normal the next time I started the truck.
The interior light and the radio issues haven't occurred at the same time.

HER_RAM,

In the event of an intermittent issue, it is important to note any trends that can be observed when the symptom presents itself. Duplication is very important to the diagnostic process.

Did you have any new devices paired to the Uconnect system (phone, Ipod)? In some cases, intermittent operation may be associated with a headlamp or dimmer switch wire corrosion/short.

A diagnosis would be recommended.

Unfortunately, there is no obvious reason for the issue.
In my experience, taking it to a dealership only results in a waste of money. It costs at least a hundred bucks just for them to hook up to it and they never find anything so you've just wasted not only the money but the time and effort as well.

I have been back and forth with dodge over this radio issue they have updated the software, replaced the radio 2 times and replaced the hub the problem is still not fixed. So tomorrow I'll be dropping it off again for them to try and fix it. My truck is spending more time at the dealership then me driving it. This is safety more then just a radio problem.

Bought my 2014 ram big horn back in August of 14 and the radio was dead on arrival of the test drive. Dodge had to order a new on the spot. Couldn't even take my new truck home the first day of buying it because no controls worked. They did give me a loaner vehicle and the radio was replaced the next day, but what a joke for a new truck. So far almost a year later I've had no problems.....

Dodge told me to turn the truck on and off 6 times WTH? obviously did not work. Stated this is a new issue to them they have never heard about, are they not up to date with the issues obviously reported online?

Disconnect your battery terminals. Leave off 10 minutes then reconnect. Should take care of issue.
