RADIO and BACKUP CAMERA PROBLEM on a new 2014
I have a brand new 2013 sport , not even 2 months old with 4000 Kms , and the radio wouldn't shut off. I had to take the battery cable off to get it to work properly. Two weeks ago the remote to unlock the doors stop working , but after I took the cable off , it works now. Love my truck , but sure is annoying to have these problem already . I also have a 2012 journey R/T awd that has had radio problems to the point of having it replaced a month ago.
If you notice, pressing the Volume Control **** really only mutes the receiver and I believe that is done that way so as to keep the amplifier section active for other purposes, such as messages. On mine I have a separate Screen On/Off button.

Dusty

Read the posts about the radio problems so when i bought my ram i figured the radio might give me some problems. Two days later started switching to aux. The next day hit a water puddle not very big then service 4wd servo light came on. I had dropped it off they replaced the media hub and 4wd servo. So far so good .
It is not the radio it is the USB port in your console. Once they replaced that in ours radio problem stopped. So let your dealer know that and if he needs to tell him to talk with john at Antioch dodge in California

Hey All,
Not sure if I posted this or not (I certainly meant to, but life happens). Nonetheless, I can confirm that the problem appears to be a fault in the input module located in the arm rest. I determined this after plugging in a 1/8" stereo cable, which I leave plugged in at all times (with nothing connected to the other end). This resolves the problem of the input erratically glitching to Aux.
Interestingly, I told my dealer this the moment I brought my truck in to repair. I work in the electronics/instrumentation, and I know a bad ground when I see one.
Anyway, this 'temporary' fix (leaving 1/8" cable plugged in) works in my case, so be sure to give it a try.
Also, please let us all know if replacing the input module in the arm rest actually fixed the problem for you. Perhaps one of these days I will find the time to do the same.
Thanks.

im having the same problem with my 2014 dodge ram 1500. It just started this last week, but its getting worse all the time. Going to call the dealership monday.
I am having the same problem, had the update done about three months ago, still switched randomly from radio to connect aux. Brought it in yesterday to have it fixed was told they did an update. I told them it already had the update was told a new update came out two days ago. Five minutes down the road it started switching back and fourth again. Am bringing it in next Tuesday, hopefully they will finally fix it.
Yup, 2014 Laramie here too. Radio randomly switches back and forth from aux. Dealer and customer service no help whatsoever. I too am looking at filing a claim under the lemon law.
