Default 2013 dodge ram 1500 5.7l hemi 4x4

I have a 2014 dodge ram 1500 hemi 4x4 the Cam and lifters went out so i did a full engine rebuild now it has a bunch of codes. It will start for 3 seconds then die. Has p2308 p2314 p0123 p0118 p0113 most of the codes point toward the pcm or bad wiring. i have all my grounds hooked up probably and everything plugged in properly. could a pcm just go out like that? Would a pcm out of a similiar truck work or does it have to be reprogrammed to the truck? Thanks for the help

I highly doubt the PCM would fail under those circumstances unless there was some incorrect connections made. I would go back to double and triple checking your wiring connections

Check out the main ground wire to the frame n wire harness to the computer I had a similar problem last year I mean my truck is a little older but it sounds like it is what I had going on

I would start pulling the spark plugs to see what is going on with each cylinder. I don't know when, but FCA switched from 30k mile plugs to 100k mile ones.

All the grounds checkout and it has new spark plugs could one of these codes be causing the other codes? The air intake sensor, throttle position sensor , engine coolant temp codes dont make since to all go bad at the same time but doesnt the engine control the timing off these sensors?

Champion plugs. I put a ohm on cylinder 3 & 5 and its showing resistance and the rest are not would that mean a short in the wiring or bad pcm?

I believe the pcm provides a ground to the coil (secondary circuit) so that the voltage from the battery can energize the coil and create the spark. Two wires are used, one from the power distribution center and the other from the PCM. Disconnect the coil pack connector and find the one to the PCM and measure there. It should be an open, not a ground.

Disconnect both sides of the wiring, at the PCM and coil. If the wiring is the problem then you will measure a short somewhere.
