This weekend I installed the ESIM and the ESIM vent filter (Vapor Canister Filter).
I have read that it may take a few days or 80-100 miles to make sure that the code doesn't come back. So I will re-post in a couple of weeks to let you know if this fixed the problem.
I have an attachment that has pictures and short explanations from the repair. I hope they help.

Thanks dnl. Good luck. I did read somewhere that the gas tank had to be a certain level..like between 1/4 and 3/4 tank....something like that...engine operating temperatures and run times parameters met for eg....for the ecm to trigger the evap test.again good luck!

fuel tank level does have to be between 1/4 and 3/4. the small leak test monitor runs after engine is shut off. it uses diurnal temp changes to close the esim.

It has been a couple of weeks and over 400 miles, so far so good. Hopefully this fixed it. Thanks for all of the help.

Out of curiosity, I opened up the ESIM. I have attached a couple of pictures of the diaphragm and contacts. There are two plungers, a diaphragm, and contacts. I am not sure how it all works. I also didn't see any thing obvious as to why it failed.

its two weighted seals that gravity acts on. one moves to release to high of a tank pressure, the other moves to release to high tank vacuum. it has a switch that detects when the esim is open or closed. test the switch to see if it reads open and closed...ie open or closed circuit. It must read both.

The contacts worked fine (open or closed). Must have been one of the seals had a small leak that I can't visibly see. Thanks for the info.

So it has been almost 2 months and about 1,000 miles. The code came back a couple of days ago. It has another code with it this time, P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow.
I had check the Purge Valve when I first started looking into this, but I didn't see anything wrong. I couldn't blow air through it.
I can get a new Purge Valve from Autozone for around $20. I am planning on changing it.
I had also changed the gas cap when I first started this, but I did buy an after market one. If the Purge Valve doesn't fix it, I guess I will get a gas cap from Dodge.
Are there any other suggestions?
My last step is go to a mechanic for a leak test.

Changed the Purge valve on Saturday. It looked like there was some debris in the old one. That would explain it working intermittently. No codes as of today (Monday).
