Front diff

Default Front diff

Hey everyone i have a 2012 1500 with the 5.7 and had to do the cam and lifters and am currently stuck i had to lower the front diff to get the oil pan out now im getting everything put back together but I cant for the life of me get the diff back into place when I go to jack the diff up it hits a spot and starts raising the truck but i still need it to go up like another inch ive looked and nothing is in the way that I can see i dont know if anyone else has had this issue and apologizes if this doesnt make sense ive spent 10 hours fighting with the diff

Is there a bushing where upper and lower parts of a mount come together that is hitting? If you are lifting the whole front of the truck, there HAS to be contact somewhere..... Something probably just isn't lined up quite right.

Ill grab pictures in the morning and add them here but basically what I was doing I had a jack stand under the driveshaft to make it easier and even at one point bench pressed the the whole assembly and was able to get the passenger side bracket in place its just the two mounting points on the driver side that have an atrocious gap that's when I tried jacking it up and it started lifting the truck

It may have to go straight up into the mounts, all at once..... otherwise, there might be some interference somewhere due to geometry.

Finally got it ended up getting in by myself just ****in around waiting for my buddy to show up🤣
lifted up near the u joint and than used my knee to push the diff back and slipped right in to place yelled for my girlfriend to grab the impact and send the bolt in 🤣
