1994-2001 Ram Front Dana 44 3.92 Gears For Sale
I have one sets of gears for sale. They are used but definitely still have a lot of life. There is no damage to the gear sets, and they should work for anyone looking to upgrade their axle ratio. They were pulled from a junkyard truck by another Dodge Forum member, and I purchased them with plans to eventually convert my axles. However, plans change, and I am no longer planning to do that.
The rear ring and pinion, and the rear install kit, have been sold.
The other is a thick 3.92 ring and pinion for a Dana 44 front axle, should also fit any 2nd generation Dodge Ram 1500 (1994-2001), as they all had Dana 44 front axles. This will fit in the factory (usually 3.55) carrier.
The master install kit that comes with this sale is unopened, still sealed from the factory.

Here are details about the master install kits that I am selling with these.
Timken bearings and other components are extremely important for the 2nd Generation Ram trucks. Other bearings just don't seem to last at all.
The Dana 44 kit is a Yukon Master Install kit, part number YK D44-DIS, for 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500s.
From Randy's Ring and Pinion, where I bought it:
"Yukon Master Overhaul kit for '94-'01 Dana 44 differential for Dodge with disconnect front or Isuzu Rodeo rear. This kit uses Timken bearings and races along with high quality seals and small parts. Included in this kit are carrier bearings and races, pinion bearings and races, pinion seal, complete shim kit, ring gear bolts, pinion nut, crush sleeve (if applicable), oil baffles and slingers (if applicable), Thread locking compound, marking compound with brush, and gasket. Yukon's Master Overhaul kits are the most comprehensive and complete kits on the market. They do extensive research to ensure that every kit is specially tailored to your application."
The Chrysler 9.25 rear axle kit, part number 83-1028, made by Moe's Metalworks (Moe's Performance).
From Moe's Performance page, where I bought it:
"Complete Master Install Kit for Chrysler 9.25" rear end with Timken Bearings. Kit also includes diff. cover gasket. Kit does not include Pinion bolts(Stock pinion bolts can be re-used up to 3 times)."
Any questions, let me know.

I have read that 1994-1997 Rams will have to be reprogrammed. However, due to the placement of sensors on the axles, the 1998-2001 Rams do not require any sort of computer reprogramming for a gear ratio change.

I don't know your man, but how many Dodge rear ends has he done in the past? That kit should have everything except the gears themselves.

The clutches have nothing to do with the gear change. The gears can go into an open rear end or LSD rear end. If the LSD needs clutches, that wouldn't have come with any Master Install Kit.
