Wiring Diagram & Pinout For 07' Ram Radio

Identifying car stereo wires might seem intimidating, but in truth, figuring out the purpose of each wire in a factory car stereo wiring harness is actually pretty easy. You can either track down a wiring diagram for that specific make, model, and year, or you can grab an inexpensive multimeter, which is a wiring project, and an AA battery, and figure it out on your own.

I am changing my 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 stock radio for a BOSS aftermarket. I got the speaker wires spliced, but I also have 2 constant power Gray/Red wires and 2 Green/Black ground wires. I don't have the Pink/White Acc. wire people keep mentioning. I can't get the radio to come on at all. What am I missing?

Hi Sirhannek,
I am doing the complete opposite as you. I am changing out my 07 factory stereo with a pioneer component. I did notice in the pictures you posted that you do not have the second connector on the radio you are installing. This connector has 3 wires for the 12 V main, the ignition switched and the dimmer. I will reply tomorrow with which holes these are located in on the second plug. NOTE: you may have problems finding this as all of the radio shops that I have been too do not have the female pigtail for me to connect from my aftermarket to the factory harness. You may have to go to a pick&pull or get directly from the dealer. Your radio will not work without this connector.
The CWH-638 connector will only be used for the speakers not the power to the radio.
Regards,
Jeff

Hey, did you get this fixed? We had this same problem last night. What my husband did was he attached the acc/ignition wire on the radio harness to the left side cigarette lighter, which is the lighter that does not stay on when you turn the truck off. Hope this helps if you haven't fixed this yet!
