AF - I don't see any reference to a 1.0 cu ft per box for those fiberglass ebay boxes. My guess is that they would be right in the 0.6-0.75 cu ft range for each, as most MDF boxes that fit in the same space are listed at 0.5 cu ft each. He also mentioned in the listing that he can build it to your specs, I would just say I need 0.6 cu ft each and see if he can do that.

yeah i emailed him so we'll see. I liked that plain mdf box you listed there too. total is 1.16 which is exactly what size i need. Its also 5/8 MDF, sealed with glue staples and plastic, and covered in carpet. the best part is, its only $80. I might have found my box lol

theyre also under the seat. i could also reupholster it. The $80 is very appealing to me though, especially since i have a problem of "i need another sub, ok now i need new amps, ok now the rest of speakers dont sound as good, etc" so instead of one new sub its an entire new system. my wallet hates me. this wasnt even supposed to be part of the big new unveiling

lol I hear that

I have car seats lining the back of my truck so anything that raises it is a no go. I may buy that ebay fiberglass box and then get a sub to match it.

am i the only one with a sub on my back seat? ill prolly get made fun of but I have a 3 cu ft box I made with a 12" orion hcc and a power acoustik BAMF 5500 watt amp and 8f cap. put a piece of paper in the port, comes out shredded. building your box is the way to go. and mdf is the way to go too. you can fiberglass over it or carpet it like mine. I even painted some mdf as mounts for the amp and cap to the box to match the sub. looks sick. total unit weighs probably ~150lbs. laugh now I just had the under seats and they suckkk. go hard or go home right...

whats your new setup you got AF?

well subs and amps are on their way. 2 10" Rockford Fosgate P3's (2 ohm) with Rockford Fosgate 500.1 (320rms @ 4ohms which is what i'll be running) running each one. I pulled out the front door panels to see what speakers i had and was quite shocked. They put out incredible sound for their size (5.25 up front, 6.5 rear) but regardless they gotta go, so im working on the front/rear speakers and amp to power them now. Suggestions? I've got about $500 for the combo. I was thinkin Alpine Type R's up front (components of course) and something a little cheaper just for fill in the back powered by an Alpine amp. Thoughts/suggestions?
