It is completely possible that the way the other accounts list the contact information may be different than what is supported and works with the phones and other accounts. I mean the way the name, number etc is placed in a spreadsheet. I still need to find a few minutes to really concentrate while trying a few things. Just slammed at work.

Still working on it though. It a hassle trying to trick my phone into not linking contacts.

The 2011 and newer kits have new hardware in them that allows more enhancements and memory for SW updates. Older phones didn't have all the abilities that the newer phones have so they didn't require much.
As you see your module has only 2 connectors and the 2011 unit has 3 connectors. (see picture below)
Now it is possible to replace the module and USB / iPod cable while still using your same harness and mic that is currently installed. I don't know what the dealer there would charge for the parts but you might want to look online for a Low Speed Uconnect (PN 82212499) and the optional cable (PN 82212160). The kit will come complete with a harness, module, mic & install directions. You will be better off buying the kit vs trying to buy just the module & cable. This will be a direct plug N play setup with no visits to the dealer for programming. Let me know how much you find the PN's above for, I may be able to help you out. I have already helped a couple other people outside the US.
Thanks for your help! i thought that must have been the case. The part number you have specified, is that for an american version or the international version of the uconnect? and am i right in saying that if i purchase that, the ipod cable i already have and the harness that connects to the REQ would not need to be replaced and all i simply have to do is put in the new uconnect module? And would a new unit be PLUG N PLAY, like i simply put it in and it will work? also, will the new unit allow for bluetooth streaming with my REQ radio. This is porbably the main feature i am after.

Oh, my mistake, you're right. That kit is the North American kit. The Int'l kit is PN 82212503.
The module itself (if you want to try to get it alone) is PN 68104911AC. But I'm pretty sure that it will cost as much as the complete kit if not more.
You will want to also get the iPod / USB cable PN 82212160 (universal part for Int'l & NA) This cable is considered by MOPAR as an "optional" cable. The current cable that you are using will not work with the new kit. However the main harness & mic that are currently in the vehicle will work. So this will be a PnP install. Simply remove the current module & iPod cable, plug in the new module and iPod cable then you will be able to pair the phone up and have the streaming audio and all the other hands free features.
I hope this info is helpful.

Also, after trying to do a bit of searching i really cannot find either the kit, or the part anywhere! seems like america doesnt stock them, and australia, well we dont have any mopar parts stockists. After a night of searching online im at a loss.

For contact download, I just did another factory reset using stock unrooted software for the Sprint SGS3 (MB1) and everything downloaded this time. Sorry for all the issues. And thank you for all the help.

Xsdbs, the update CD was not helpful.

I continue to subsrcibe to this thread in the hopes that an answer to my problem will appear. Any word on the RER's? If not, do you know anybody who does have answers? I kind of feel like the red headed step child in here.

The USB cable is an optional cable that is sold by Chrysler / MOPAR. If you'd like to , PM me with your address and I'll see what the cost would be to ship you the parts that you need to bring your system up to current enhancements. Yes, the REQ will stream audio if it is updated to the current 2011 - 2013 Uconnect module. I am really surprised that the dealer can't get the parts for you.

Dealers over here find it VERY HARD to source any parts. i have currently been waiting over 5 weeks for new suspension that is being replaced under warranty and also the damper for the glove box that they broke when they changed the cabin filter on the last service.

I've read through this thread and I think I have an answer to my question but I wanted to double check.

I have a 2010 Dodge 2500, bought it in Oct 2010. It came with a mygig 430 REN. I was wondering if it is possible to BTSA (Bluetooth streaming audio) with my system.

Also is there any current updates for my system?
The software I have is 9.292 Gracenotes: 1287

If you need more info I can try to find it for you. Thanks!

for the iPod connection, do you have a USB connector or a 30 pin pigtail that plugs into the iPod? Dodge changed to a newer version of Uconnect in 2010 and I think it was the later built vehicles. If you have the 30 pin pigtail, then it's the older version and won't be able to support BTSA.
As for the radio itself, you'll need to check with the dealer to see if there is an update for it. The Uconnect is an external module and has its own SW updates.
