Which Updates/s do I apply?
Hi. I was going to just download and start installing from the top. But I noticed some were China & Japan.
I'm in Australia and am trying to work out which of these I should install to my 2014 Dodge Journey RT. I put my vin into the uconnect site and it came up with this. Thanks.

Hi primem. Thanks for the reply. Yeh I ended up working that part out thanks. I flashed the software update fine. But the GPS Flash has caused it to go into a loop on the GPS screen. The rest works fine but the NAV screen keeps rebooting.
so you downloaded the file to a BLANK jump drive...unzipped the compressed file, removed the drive properly (pulling out wrong can corrupt files) from the computer and connected the jump drive to the usb port.
I also tried to do it all over again and went into Dealer mode to flash it using emergency update feature. Didn't work that was 7.09 from memory that i was trying. Then I tried 6.22 to see if that would maybe fix the problem. Still nothing. It went through the loading software and then stopped like it was done again. It still loops.
I was tempted to try load the Japan Nav update and see if that fixed it then try to reflash the english one. I didn't do it but am tempted to try it. Sometimes it's the thing you think won't work that does.
I can live without the GPS and just use my phone on Vent mount like I did when I needed it recently. Atleast Google maps is always up to date.
I've read a few times now that there is no fixing the GPS once it is in a loading loop. But I don't want to replace it with another crappy Uconnect system that you can't get current maps for etc. If I do get it working I plan on trying to load the Open Street Maps free updated maps and seeing if they work. It should do from what I've read.
The other option was buy a replacement Android unit which isn't to easy with the way the Uconnect is a separate unit to the screen. But I found one. Because if I was going to pay to have a new unit put in I would want android. So I confirmed this is the right one for my car. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000002904534.html
Going to do a little more tinkering and see how I go first. Where there is a will there is usually a way.
Yes. I fully formatted the drive to FAT32. NO files were present other than the Garmin directory and the gps update file. It was ejected from the PC correctly before plugging into the Dodge.
