Ok im going to answer your questions in the order you asked.

1) You should be able to easily mount your amp under your seats against your back wall, or one the floor easily. There might even be better places but those are the first that come to mind because im not too familiar with the Ram.

2) For MTX I would recomend a matching AMP lol. But a good brand that I always recomend other than Kenwood is JL Audio. I love Kenwoods stuff but JL is the best. Try to go for a 1500 watt amp. What they advertise these amps at doesnt really match the power they put out, or that you really need. JL 1500 or 1000 is what you wanna shoot for maby even 2000 watts.

3) You need to buy an aftermarket interface if you want good sound. You can wire your amp straigt to your HU but its gonna sound like *** just so you know ahead of time. You can purchas an interface and still have that aftermarket HU quality.

Personally I dont like subs. Eventually you will literally be ****ing with them every day of your life. What I would do is buy some nice speakers and hook an amp up to them. My Kenwood 6 X 9's put out better bass than some subs. Either way though its your stuff so have fun. If you need any further guidance and you dont get the answers here sooner than you need go to www.the12volt.com. That site has great educational information on Car Audio.

JL isn't the best. They're good though. The also do not make a 1500-2000watt amplifier. They make the 1000/1 which is a 1000watt rms amplifier.

The subs that come pre-loaded in the thunderform don't need that much power. I'd look for around 600rms at which configuration you need it (more than likely 2ohms).

Im pretty shure JL make a 1500 and 2000 watt amp but I could be wrong. Im not too familiar stuff but all I hear is good things about them.

ok so if i decide not to add the mtx q-logic sub box and just go with really good aftermarket speakers can i connect those to the stock HU? see my whole idea is i want to keep the truck as stock as possible and i know when adding an aftermarket HU u have to get that dash kit that surrounds the HU so u got like a 1/2" gap around the deck and i dont want taht unless you can recommend me a good HU taht sits perfect inside the dash flush and all? also can i run componets on the front doors and rear doors? im liking the 'infinity kappas'

If you get REALLY good aftermarket speakers and run it off the stock HU, it's going to sound better than stock...but no where near the fullest potential of the aftermarket speakers.

The proper way to do it would be to get a NEW HU, replace the door speakers, and get a 4channel amplifier.

PS: Nope, JL sure doesn't make any larger mono amp than the 1000/1 currently.

You can pick up a cheaper dash kit at walmart. What is your price range for everything?
Edit- It wil not be completely flat unless you want to fabricate one. If you want I can take a pic of my dash kit and show you how it would look.

There is no need to even buy an aftermarket HU if you purchase an interface. Here check this out. You can buy one for a little bit more/or less than an aftermarket HU and have the quality. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_c...php?page_id=94
