Default Installation Question

I'm going to be getting a different truck in the spring so i'm going to make do with what i have/bought/was given. I bought the truck with kenwood 6x9's in the door and replaced my (dead) fosgate 10" sub with a 12" mtx blue thunder( bought ebay $40...s--tty sub I know) in a sealed enclosure behind the passenger side seat. there was no amp in the truck. I just bought a jl audio 500/5 to run the truck (little did i know that it wouldn't fit under the center seat...the amp is pretty big). I also bought a 4 awg wiring kit and I want to know how to run the wires. I want to mount the amp behind the drivers seat on the back of the cab(only place it will fit I think) I am going to run the power down the drivers side of the truck to the amp. Then I am going to run the remote and the rca's down the middle of the cab to the amp.I was told not to run the rca's or the power wire close to the pcm...any truth to that? How do you guys suggest I get the speaker wires to the amp...should I run the front L+R down the passenger side to the amp or can I run the Left front with the power wire and just the right down the passenger side? My apologies for such a long post..I want to do this right. Any help would be appreciated

Run the power and remote down the passenger side. Running the power wire by the pcm doesnt matter....but it wont ever be close to it anyway...and the rca's will never be close to it either. I would jst run the speaker wire down each side to each door. Now if this was gona be a perminant install I would tell you to run the rca's down the middle away from any power source, but since this is jst till you get the new truck I think you will be fine running it down the passenger side with the one run of speaker wire.....I have never had a problems running rca's with power wire....I really dont think many ppl do if the rca's are of any quality, but you should do it jst incase....but like I said in your case I wouldnt mess with taking out the seats to do it.

The seats are held in by 4 nuts on each seat. You will also have to take out the the middle seat, as it would hold the seats together if you didnt.

why aren't you just using the deck's speaker wires which are already run to the doors. why run your 6x9s off the amp and not the deck??

The amp puts out 100x2 rms and the deck puts out something like 14/15watts rms to the front channels. If i'm going to put 250 watts to my sub and I have 4 extra channels. Why not use 2 of the extra 4 channels to power the fronts.

JL audio 500/5

100x2 front channels
25x2 rear channels
250x1 sub output
