Default would anyone except me buy this car?

i would really like to see chrysler take the avenger call it the dart swinger make it two door and put a 4.7l in it with the 5-speed manual and a 9.25 solid axle. also they could spice up the front a little with a fascia or something cool and maybe some retro colors or stripes. the 4.7 is a great cheap alternative to the hemi. the 5-speed is much cheaper than the 6-speed used in the challenger and viper and could also afford great gas mileage. so basically a roadrunner idea: cheap, fast car that would be semi-lightweight. anyone else likin' this idea?

I like it, and keep the 4.7 so if the car takes off aftermarket will actually show some interest in the engine!

I'm linkin' it!
Or 4.0 supercharged.
Basically, need a more-powerful yet affordable manual-trans car.
Dodge offers nothing but the Cailber (which, besides the SRT-4, isn't that fast!) and Challenger (which does not qualify as "cheap")

Lol. I believe the Swinger talked about above is an automobile. (You can put mileage on both...)
But cheap, fast, semi-light weight... yea, fits the characteristics!

Oh, I see

J/K

I earlier mentioned a B Body type Road Runner car. No frills, just PS and PB. Heat with no a/c, manual windows, etc. A 5.7L Hemi with a 6-speed and a solid rear axle.

A Muscle car that doesn't weigh 5000lbs!!! It would be affordable and very fast!!

As for the ride mentioned by the OP, I would rather call it a Duster or a Demon, sounds meaner than Swinger (a bunch of overweight middle aged people having group sex..YUK!)!

i'm sure that's the definition of "swinger" that chrysler had when they built those cars!lol really, the 5.7 hemi and 6-speed is pretty expensive but none the less awesome. I really like the 4.7 its underrated. and yea, this proposed car would have manual windows, am radio only, and no ac, etc...

If we're only giving it one band of radio shouldn't it be the one people actually listen to?

I know the Challenger is awesome now. But just think if they put it on it's own platform and it was light weight.
