what's getting a loan got to do with being an immigrant or not?! I'm a US citizen, but technically an immigrant since I wasn't born here, got turned down for a 0% discount tire credit card I wanted to put my tires on.

it's not Chrysler that's saying no, its the banks. They got too loose with their credit crieteria, now they're f'd, so they are all tightening up. it is some bull, and though I don't wish or want them to go under, if this continues, they just might.

How is that possible?
How would one come up with fourseven to begin with? Where's the relationship?

Anywho, "fourseven" Romeo has over a 700, so the stimulus to help below 619 losers shouldn't make any diff for this guy???
The whole reason behind the stimulus was to help the people that defaulted which lower their scores, to help them out again. Well, it's really to help the banks. Us little citizens mean nothing. They will save all the big business that keep this country afloat. So they weren't thinking of you and I except that fact that Lenders wanted to stop lending to those people which in turn would cause them to lose big $$$$
619 losers ? You must be under the false impression that you are untouchable in the current state of affairs. Thats a mighty presumptive attitude considering two thirds of Americans are 2 paychecks from bankruptcy. One divorce could ruin you too. What an *******.

What does losing your job or getting divorced have to do with your credit score? If you're not maintaining irresponsibly high cc balances, then none of those events will effect you.

That was a bad choice of words on his part. However, if your credit score is 600 or lower, you haven't handled your credit properly or have had some setbacks in life. <-very possible here.

I'm only 29. My wife and I have close to an 800 credit score each. We manage our money very, very well.

Uh, no job = no money. No combined income = greater strain on the pocket book. + in some cases an extra payment called Alimony.

i don't want to give them another cent, or the even money we already did.

Chrysler is trying to play hardball with the Canadian government and i think it backfired. their plan was to tell the government that they aren't going to show them how they'll restructure and if they don't get billions unconditionally they'll shut down their factories here. the government gave GM another 2 months and Chrysler only 1, no plan no more money.

i can tell you right now if Chrysler shuts their plants here they may as well shut down their dealerships too, no one in Canada will buy their product. now i know this was just them trying to bluff but we aren't interested, as far as i'm concerned they can all go bankrupt and restructure that way. quite taking my money !!!
