RE: Motor Trend Poll: Charger Vs Mustang
How rediculous! You are gonna choose a car with less hp, and a car that you've said you "hated", because of 2 extra doors. Don't say you havent; becuase I can go back and find it. Whats wrong with you; ARE YOU MAD? Are you not taking your medication? Because that to me just sounds stupid, to not like a car because it has 4 doors.

and no manual tranny...if it was just a straight line, i would probably have gone with the notacharger, but i would rather trust the coupe. if they posted some stats, i could probably give a clearer answer. the mustang has tigher steering, and has an all around more turn-ready build. flat out straight line is a different story, but in a chase scene similar to that one, i woudl rather have a smallr car and i would MUCH MUCH rather have a stick shift.

RE: Motor Trend Poll: Charger Vs Mustang
In the magazine the Charger manages to tie the Mustang in only one objective test (45-65 mph passing acceleration, where an automatic has an advantage) and falls behind in all others. So for straight line the Charger isn't necessarily the one to pick either. I voted Mustang; it's just plain quicker, and that's what I'd want in a chase between these two.
For my own garage it'd be a harder choice. I prefer the Mustang's styling over the Charger and it's less expensive by several grand. If I needed the back seat space the Charger would be a no-brainer. Given my experience with Ford slushboxes I'd get the stick-shift in the Mustang.
