Did I mention stupid? Well, now the FIAT bungling comes. This cements in my mind the lack of understanding that FIAT has for the Dodge brand. I have friends and family that have bought a new Dodge minivan since the 80's. Abandoning these buyers won't drive them to the far more expensive T&C, they will move to Toyota, Hyundai/Kia or Nissan. Why did Obama insist on giving Chrysler to FIAT? They are clearly working now towards killing Chrysler and having a FIAT only company. Stupid!

They are keeping the T&C and introducing a smaller van with the Dodge name. No need of two of the same vehicle with minor trim differences. I don't really like it, but I understand why they are doing it. This has been in the works since Fiat took over.

Just because they're getting ride of the Dodge name on the mini-van doesn't means that they're getting ride of the models/features and price points that the Dodge vans currently occupy. They're just getting ride of a lot of the redundancy/expense that comes with having to maintain two brand names for basically that same model of van.

In Europe, the Chrysler vans were and are still sold under the Voyager model name (i.e. Chrysler Voyager) spanning the Caravan/Town & Country model line. Actually, the Chrysler mini-van is now sold under the Lancia brand name as a Lancia Voyager.

I'm surprised that GM lets them call the Delta engine a TurboJet since that name was used by Chevrolet for the late 60's and early 70's Big Block engines such as the 396,402,427 and 454. Much like the Ferrari F150 had to be renamed because Ford thought that consumers would mistake the supercar for an overweight pig of a 1/2 ton truck.

Well since they are doing all this wonderfull things, why dosent Fiat bring the diesel engine that they curently use in all the european vehicles, chrysler, dodge, fiat... Over the pond, all vehicles are diesel and getting really good gas mileage. I would like a small engive in my Dodge Ram, like a 5 cilinder turbo diesel that gets awesome gas mileage and has monster torque. Ive heard that they were doing some testing with something like that. I dont understand why do we not want more diesels here, instead of those stupid hybrids or full electric cars that get you no were and that cost an arm and a leg.

Because the gas companies have all the politicians in their pockets. They won't go to diesel because people would be getting better gas mileage and buying less gas. Diesel cars in Europe can get around 65mpg.

So far Fiat has been one of the best things that has ever happened to the brand, I think it will work out. I think they would have been down the drain had Fiat not stepped in, worst case is they just delayed the death of Ma Mopar......
