I think that Dodge should use the turbo 230hp 2.4L from the Neon SRT-4 in the Stratus. That's more than the 3.0L 200hp current Stratus. Does anyone know why Dodge only offers this in Mexico, but not here in the US?
I have no clue, but it would make alot of sense to offer it here stateside. They have 3 different engines in the Stratus with the 2.4, 2.7, and 3.0L each....
I think personally alot more people would have bought them with it, because of the performance and reliability...
its mercedes...and while were on it the stratus coupe is beautiful and should have been loaded with srt dynamics but theres not necessarily a good reason as to why the 4 dr R/T got the 2.7 turbo and the coupe got the shaft. Even though it is a very tasteful car IMO. But when you have all other models w/ srt why bastardize this car???
Dodge wouldn't use the SRT-6 engine because it's a Benz engine. It's too good for the Stratus. Lol. I think the price just from that engine would boost the MSRP of the Stratus considerably and 20k for a starting price isn't what it should be.
