Folks, the 2008 Dodge Avenger has just popped up on DealerConnect, so we expect to start seeing prices and the ability to order shortly.

 

Any word on whether or not us Canadians will be seeing them this time around?

 

Right now I have no information on Canadian availability. As far as production for the US markets, the Avenger isscheduled for January.

 

We are already building them. We launched on Mon.

 

Are you guys building just the SE and SXT models, or are the R/Ts going into production at the same time?

 

Yes we are building models slated to ship to Canada!

We are building all three. Mostly sxt, and R/T. AWD models are not being built yet.

 

We just got one in. A black SXT.

 

And how is it? you i'm sure checked it out

 

It is a lot smoother than the Sebring is. It looks great on the outside too. The engine is quiet. The transmission shifts smoothly. It handles the corners with ease. The interior is really nice too! The dash is the best part. I really like how the gauges are configured. I have been driving a Sebring as a demo for 4 months now. The Avenger will be the car of choice next time. It is probably the best car in it's class, that I have driven, since the Contour SE V-6 I drove in 1999. We got a Silver Steel Avenger, with leather, in this morning too. I can't wait to mile out the Sebring!! Go drive an Avenger when your local dealer gets one. BTW both cars have the 2.7L V-6.

 

Is that with the new 62TE or the updated 41TES? Do you guys up in Canada only have the 2.7L as your top engine? If the 62TE is matched with the 2.7L, what is the fuel mileage ratings?
