the viper is one of the best car of dodge and on my mind. it has been always the best and powerfull car under $100,000, but i wanna know if the are gonna turbocharger, supercharge or something like that, cause its getting worst, cause like the Ford GT, its more quick than the viper. I know that its cheaper the viper... but the Ford GT needs somebody better than him... the all new dodge viper. is the new viper gonna have more performance???????????'

New Viper?
No, there are no plans of supercharging or turbocharging the "VIPER" V-10 engine. However, rumors have been commenting that in 2007/2008? the Dodge Viper will recieve a 600 horsepower 7.7L HEMI "VIPER" V-10, but remember this is just a rumor. That is all we know.
There is news about the next generation Corvette (C6) which debuts this fall, that in 2006 or 2007 will have a twin turbo version kicking out 600 horsepower, which is named the "Blue Devil", because of GM CEO Rick Wagoneer went to Duke University, and designers named it that because they wanted him to approve it for limited production. Limited production meaning less than 100 models available to the public.

RE: New Viper?
Well I have heard 7.7L's of displacement from several online resources. Ask our frequent visitor GeorgeJetson, I know he has heard it as well. 600 horsepower is about par, where the car companies are limiting horsepower ratings for sports cars, right now. I have heard 600 horsepower from more than a dozen and a half resoruces as well!

RE: New Viper?
Oh, nope... you are thinking of the 2001 Chevrolet Corvette "Tiger Shark" Concept... the concept featured a supercharged 427CI V-8 crate motor pushing 700 horsepower. The Blue Devil I have heard from sources on different websites will have a twin turbo version of the 6.0L LS2 V-8 pumping 600+ horsepower!
Here is the Tiger Shark...
