Default 2011 Tire Size Questions

Hello everyone,

So, I'm currently running some LT285/70/17 Cooper ATP's on my 2011 Ram Crew Cab 2500 4x4 Cummins. These tires look good and ride well but this is the largest tire Cooper ATP's offer for a 17 inch wheel. I'm looking to replace these tires in the next few months and would like to go to a larger size tire and possibly more aggressive but still keep the factory steel 17" wheels.

So my question, what is the largest tire folks have been able to run on the stock wheels without having to get a lift for the 2500 Cummins Ram 2500's? My truck has a leveling kit on it or at least I think it does because the front and the rear of the truck looks completely level.

Thanks for your help!

Ken

If it's level you can run up to a 35" x 12.5" tire. Lots of choices out there even in a load range E...

This is hot discussion on the other board I'm on, like HammerZ said, just level it out and you can easily fit these 35's for stock Cummins. You can't go wrong with STT as for durability and wear tolerance.

Do you have a listing for 18" stock aluminum wheels on my 16 2500 4x4 with front level kit.

Hi I am currently running 315/70r/17 Nitto Grappler 2 . Its on a 2011 Ram 1500 slt crew cab looks great , rides great problem is 2 weeks after had a rough country 4inch lift and tires and wheels put on my rt knee went out had it replaced now I'm looking at a left hip replacement. question is what would be cheapest way to drop a couple of inches would different tires do it / I even thought of fabricating a running board that would have a lower step made into it any help would be greatly appreciated thanks again

Check some of the aftermarket companies. I KNOW there is one out there that makes steps for lifted trucks. Something like a powered step would be perfect for you.

You should post in the third gen ram section for that info.

Opps, sorry I thought it was. It can certainly be moved or deleted.
